Excellent food / service / views. Would highly recommend. It is located up by the castle with stunning views of the city. The garden next to it is beautiful and the food is of high quality. Would recommend the chocolate fondant for dessert!

Really surprised to see this place so low on Tripadvisor rankings! The location is easily one of the best in Tavira, literally on the grounds of the castle right next to a beautiful old church overlooking the town. Courtyard seating and especially the balcony are recommended when booking. The food was very nice, although not amazing. I had sea bass... More

Happened on this restaurant by the castle by chance and took an inside table. Bit more expensive than other places, but the food was excellent, the service very good and the atmosphere a cut above other places in the town, Worth booking a table on the terrace in high summer, where you can look over the town, watch the sun... We booked a table on the balcony and had a nice view over the town as the sun set. Actually it was a tad chilly but on a balmy evening it would be great. Food was good and the service was friendly and attentive. It felt a bit more expensive than most of the town restaurants but it is a... More

We had our first meal here and have subsequently realised after dining in other, less expensive restaurants l, that this was not one of the nicer restaurants in Tavira. The couvert was the same mix of olives, bread and a tasty tuna pate and my starter of the tomato soup with croutons and a poached egg was delightful. My partner... More

My wife and I visit Portugal, and have done for several years, on a regular basis. One of the highlights is a trip to Tavira, and especially this restaurant. The menu is great value, add in the relaxed atmosphere and it's worth the trip. Take the time to look into the church and small museum in the same square.

Had a lovely meal here...not the cheapest but a treat. wonderful puddings!! Sat at the front of the building listening to the singing and watching a candle lit procession from the cathedral as it was a Saint's day celebration. An evening to remember.

We dined twice at this restaurant during our stay in Tavira. The menu is interesting making good use of the fresh fish/seafood the area is famed for. On our second visit the staff seemed a little stressed about something which did mar the experience. We'll worth a visit though. Paul Montegriffo

It was my birthday and the meal was fantastic. Good atmosphere, good service and good food. The welcome drink consisted of different varieties of gin and tonics
