Just perfect traditional Danish food /perfect service and wonderful atmosphere. And you are served from a silver plate, and not just a plate placed in front of you...
I have been a Bodilles 10 years ago, which was the reason for coming back with the family. We went for the buffet. While ordering drinks, bread and tuna Mousse was served. tasted good. This is a charmingly rustique restaurant near the harbour in Skagen. We visited the restaurant in the evening with two children and a stroller and were warmly welcomed. The service was friendly and attentive. The waiter recommended a steak that turned out to be absolutely delicious. The oldest child had a dish of plaice and chips that was also tasty.... More
Fine service - extraordinary good towards our children Food - fine selection of fish, meat and vegetables Settings - Plain but doesn't pretend to be anything else - real Danish Kro.
You have not really been to Skagen if you havent had a meal at Bodilles. Not that is is a fancy place. It is a place with soul. Arriving at 6, seated by the window, although the wiew is nothing to talk about. Well taken care of by the two professionally mature waitresses. This time I had a traditional steak... More
An industrytype (Knorr?) made fish soupe served without fish. The menu even said it should be served with vegetables en julienne but that was missing too.
Nice selection of food, the sole (sjötunga) with new potatoes I had was excellent. Nicely decorated dining room with lots of copies of the Skagen paintings on the wall, and a nice multiscandinavian crowd.
An old tradition is going to Bodilles once a year. Classic danish food without any hanky panky. What you see is what you get. Well made food.
Nice danish lunch ("frokost").
