Great environment

The food here is really good and the environment is amazing, but prices are Copenhagen prices so at that level the food must be at a little higher level. The service is a lot of very young unexperienced girls and a few very experienced managers and management is coaching them well so it is actually... read more

We had lunch at this idyllic brasserie in Gamle Skagen on a sunny (but windy) Saturday afternoon. The menu is mainly French with the odd Scandinavian touch, featuring e.g. foie gras and french game bird dishes. My wife and I had a lovely duck confit and our son a piece of white fish with fries. Blackcurrant sorbet, rhubarb trifle and... More

A very cozy restaurant in Gl. Skagen. If you visit on a bright sunny day, they have a lovely outside area where you can enjoy your meal. If its a bit windy, they have blankets to keep you warm. The service was good and the food was excellent. I had the vegetarian dish (tomato's on a cheese tarte) which was... More

Outstanding Food. Book before 6PM if you want to make sure of a table - otherwise just meet up but expect half an hour wainting. The waiting area is either outside on the teresse or in the bar where one can wathch the Nice fireplace:)

Everything we ordered was excellent. I had the mussels and fries. They were the freshest, tastiest most delicious mussels I've ever eaten! The fries were very tasty too. My dining partner had the fish soup, full of delicious fish and an amazing luscious broth. Ruth's is a sure bet for a wonderful dining experience.

Vacation is not over, but the asparagus and mussel soup served here is out of this world. Service was perfect, and we had a great lunch outside. This feels like a real gourmet restaurant but at a much better price. Only thing that did bug me was that the cheapest kids option was 180kr. We did get it for 130... More

This is a well-appointed restaurant in the older part of Old Skagen. The food was good - tasty and enough, without being too much. I cannot comment on the speed of service since we were there for a relaxing evening and asked the staff to take things slowly. We were in Old Skagen for a long weekend, out of season,... More

Very popular bistro with wide selection on the menu. We went for classic french with foie gras, oysters and beef tartar. All very tasteful and nice. Only negative is that the wine list a bit on the slow side and not that exciting.

In the evening even on weekdays this restaurant is packed but forget about getting a table at their gourmet restaurant, there you have to book in advance. We got the todays special Duck with cherries and black lobster. Very good taste and very good service
