Smart, at a reasonable price

This is a well-appointed restaurant in the older part of Old Skagen. The food was good - tasty and enough, without being too much. I cannot comment on the speed of service since we were there for a relaxing evening and asked the staff to take things slowly. We were in Old Skagen for a long weekend... read more

Vacation is not over, but the asparagus and mussel soup served here is out of this world. Service was perfect, and we had a great lunch outside. This feels like a real gourmet restaurant but at a much better price. Only thing that did bug me was that the cheapest kids option was 180kr. We did get it for 130... More

Very popular bistro with wide selection on the menu. We went for classic french with foie gras, oysters and beef tartar. All very tasteful and nice. Only negative is that the wine list a bit on the slow side and not that exciting.

In the evening even on weekdays this restaurant is packed but forget about getting a table at their gourmet restaurant, there you have to book in advance. We got the todays special Duck with cherries and black lobster. Very good taste and very good service

We came as a big family and had a wonderful meal. Food well prepared. The chef introduced our menu and must say we had some of the best salmon ever. The service was superb, the ambiance amazing just a really great evening! The best in Skagen for us this time.

If you are looking for a nice upscale dinner in Old Skagen, then this place is a must visit. You can sit outside on a nice summer day or evening while enjoying delicious food and win. The service was attentive and very friendly. We had a large bowl of moules with double dipped frites for appetizer. Very succulent and fresh!... More

We had lunch here, and chose two courses from the recomandations for the day. Uncomplicated and nice food, with focus on local ingredients. Served by relaxed, nice (and apparently local) staff. Will visit again.

Old Skagen is situated a mile to the west of the main town Skagen, on the west coast. These days there are several hotels and holiday homes but it still keeps the athmosphere of Skagen from old times. The Brasserie at Ruth's is part of the hotel, completely renovated a few years ago but still keeping a lot of the... More
