The layout of this tea house is what makes it worth a visit. It is nice to sit upstairs on the cushions and floor, especially after a long day of sightseeing, and just look out. The downstairs is open air with tables if you prefer chairs. I was lucky to find this place on a day that was low key... More

I really liked the tea house. You can sit on cushions upstairs (no tables or chairs there) and look at the busy street or the quiet park. They have an enormous choice of tea (3 euros for a small pot) and they also sell nice home-made cookies (36 cents). It seems popular with the locals as well. The staff are... More

We wanted to enjoy the beautiful surroundings whilst sipping a cup of tea - instead mayhem ensued. Very little staff to serve and clear away. Many patrons waiting to be served and trying to figure out if it is self service or not. I can see it must be a lovely place when they are not busy, but they are... More

…but a self-service (???) tea house facing Pilsetas kanals. It has been disgusting to see empty tea cups, teapots, and mostly leftovers on the tables, and no waitresses tiding out. After a 20 min wait (nobody cared about me), I ran away. What a mess!!!

A lovely place to stop for a cup of tea and a rest in central Riga. A great range of different teas which staff can help make recommendations for. The upstairs seating area is lovely and very relaxing especially if you get a canal side view.

Nice place and in my eyes a must visit in Riga. Great Tea (more than 60 sorts) and delicious cookies. A place where you can relax. We come here again

Our visit to Apsara was a highlight of our trip to Riga. It's a short walk out of Old Town and within a beautiful park. There are so many tea (and cake!) options and the atmosphere is so tranquil. We sat outside and people watched, which was easy as the teahouse is somewhat tucked away. Lovely place that is highly... More

This is a great place to people watch sitting on cushions on the floor on the first floor of this round coffee house in the park was really fun and it took all our willpower to not eat any of the yummy cakes.

This is a great spot for a nice cup of tea, downstairs are some tables and upstairs are lounge in cushions only, so you have to remove shoes. There is no place to sit to do that so if you have to untie and tie shoe laces and you go up, make sure you stick to the tea and other... More
