Very good

Went here yesterday, food was excellent and reasonably priced at less than 7 euros and with beer at less than a pound a pint what wasn't to like!

On out first night we were looking to sample some classic Latvian food.....and boy did we find some!!! In a side street a couple of blocks from the central square of old town, we found this small, unassuming entrance ....and wondered if we were in the right place. But inside and downstairs the restaurant expands like Dr. Who's Tardis. The... More

Set in the cellars below street level, the decibels are very high. Eating food in candle lit vaulted rooms with musical accompaniment. Most main courses are less than 7 euros.

Great food, really filling meals for a good price. Good selection of local beers and topped off with live music. Would definitely come back.

We went on Saturday night and it was packed! The food was hearty and really good. We also enjoyed the recommended local cranberry wine. While there were a fair few tourists this place is clearly a firm favourite of locals too. It was very busy but we were served quickly and staff were friendly. I recommend this restaurant.

We went in this pub/restaurant in the city center of Riga. From the outside it seems to be very small, but when you go inside it's huge. We went there to drink a beer and after a couple hours we went there again to have a dinner. We were in two, we ate 1kg pork hock, Fillet of Baltic Cod... More

Went to Folkklubs several times during our visit. This place gets very busy and people struggle to get a table but it is well worth it. We ate here twice and had good meals each time. They offer 1kg of pork which I had and this was good. I had meatballs on another occasion and, in my opinion were a... More

My friend & I went on a Wednesday night & the place was packed. Lots of students and younger crowds. Regardless, the waitress found us a seat at one of the long table with other patrons. (Normal in Europe-dont be shy) the food was good, beer was better and the price was the best. Yes, there are tourists, but it... More

We were really satisfied with the place! 1. The food was very tasty 2. Price is affordable for 2 students 3. The water was really nice and polite. As a bonus -- cool location in an old basement.

Very good atmosphere. Food is tasty and inexpensive. Excellent selection of beers. Our waitress was run of her feet but determined to give us good service. Thank you.
