The place is really good if you like music? Unfortunately we missed it. we started at 7 oclock and we had to leave at 9.45 and there was nothing started to happen on this Friday night. However the atmosphere is great. Really busy and a reservation is strongly advised. Some of the food is really good but some bad. My... More

Found this place by recommendation from a local Latvian. Looking from outside on the street it seemed like a small place, but going inside and downstairs in the basement it turned out to be a huge hall type bar and restaurant. There was a lot of locals hanging out, and the place had a great Eastern Europe / Middle Age... More

If you are looking for cheap food and beer, then this is the place to go - two beers, one appetizer, two entrees and two main courses for twenty five euros. Definitely local cuisine and plenty of it but don't expect to be blown away by the standard. Service was so fast that within fifty minutes of us arriving we had finished three... More

This place is really worth to go. It is a huge cellar venue and amzing range of tab beers and also bottles. There's something for everybody and the staff is very friendly and helpful and also speaks a very good english. A pint of beer is between 2€-3,20€ depending on the style and alcohol vol. Food is more eastern european... More

Once came here, it was a great pleasure to return every evening of stay in Riga to try more of traditional Latvian food and to listen a traditional latvian folkmusic. Traditional dishes - potato pancakes with salmon or bacon, latvian black peas stewed with bacon, chicken liver backed in bacon and many others are recomended. Several brands of good latvian... More

On a freezing cold night in Riga, this subterranean spot was heaving with people and full of great local character. Warm, friendly (super staff!!!), and unbelievably cheap. Food is basic but hearty, and very tasty; it's not a gourmet experience, it's a great bar with satisfying nosh. Given a price of aound 7 or 8 Euros for a big plate... More

What a little hidden gem. It took a while wandering the streets of Riga in -6 degrees to find this underground spot but it was so worth the effort. The atmosphere was electric, more of a local hangout than tourist trap. The beer selection is fab and extremely reasonably prices and the bar snack yum. Unfortunately we didn't get to... More
