Beer was wonderful!

Service was beyond outstanding and she helped us a lot with ordering and tips of what to do. She also gave us samples of beers when we were so indecisive of which one to choose. Food was lovely and atmosphere was very authentic.

Brilliant bar, good rustic food , cheap and plentiful supply of local brews , live entertainment and friendly staff. Excellent value beers from €1.50 and food from €2. A little difficult to find but worth a look frequented by locals and tourists alike

When you find the door, don't be afraid to enter. Walk down the stairs and through the hallway in the basement, all the way at the back you'll find a hidden cove: the actual restaurant! Don't expect to be seated by the waiter as another party will steal your table in front of you. Find however many empty seats you... More

What can I say, this experience could have been just perfect, if it wasn't for the extremely rude blonde waitress who first greeted us. Thankfully she was not our waitress for the night!!! The restaurant is in the basement of this building just by St. Peter church. Is very rustic and full of character, with low lighting and local music.... More

My son and daughter took me to Riga as a 70th birthday present. It is where my grandfather was born in 1889. Folkklubs was recommended by a Latvian postgrad at Leeds University as a place frequented by locals. Peldu iela is about the only street in the Old Town to have escaped gentrification. Down the stairs and into the medieval... More

This restaurant was full so if you want to enjoy a good food and beer with live band music, it would probably best if you reserve a table. The staff was friendly and very helpful. If you want to try something local, then this place worth a visit.

A great restaurant, fast and friendly service, loads of food, and all of this for half of what you would pay on the main street.
