On a cold rainy day, this was very welcoming. The coffee and hot chocolate were both very good and there was no stinting on the volume. The cakes were also quite large portions and the quality was good.

Came here twice in 3 days. A nice place to drop in and have afternoon cakes and coffee and hot chocolate. Prices were reasonable and the cakes very nice, especially the tortes. Take note that the Latvians seem to like their cottage cheese and it features heavily in many of the cakes. Also, their cakes are not overly sweet compared... More

We loved there. Especially napoleon cake is the best. We dropped every day when we were Riga. So cute place.

Following Tripadvisor this time did not disappoint - thankfully. Our hotel was just around the corner and we had just arrived at about 3pm and thought afternoon tea - the place was packed to overflowing and if the weather had been kinder we would have sat on the outside tables but we saw it opened until 23.00 so after dinner... We found this pastry shop quite by accident, but so glad we did. The pastry and selections of coffees were amazing. The choc./hazelnut torte and the apple strudel were baked on the premises and were the best we had in Latvia. It is a quaint shop with many locals enjoying the pastries. They indoor and outdoor seating. I wish we... More

Probably the best boulangerie and patisserie in Riga, with old favourites (Millefeuille, croissant), local adaptations (Sacher) and Latvian sweets.

We are sitting here for tea and cake while writing this. Excellent rhubarb cake my wife ordered. Was only to have one bite but ended up having three! We'll be back to try more I more of their cakes. Recommended!

Seeing that this was one of the place recommended by fellow Tripadvisors, we gave it a try and were quite "chuffed" with this bakery. They offer a good variety of traditional Latvian pastries and is not expensive at all. They also seem to be a favorite of the locals, which is always a good sign! Expect a beautiful interior, but... If your into bakeries, then the Rigenisis is the place to go when your in Riga. We loved the place so much we went there and had coffee and cake for three mornings in a row. Everything is so fresh, and the tantalising smells you get on walking through the door are so strong it draws you in without hesitation...... More
