Beautiful interior, but a little bit on the expensive side. You do not enter here with jeans and sneakers. The restaurant has old history and is beautifully restored.
this restaurant happened to be the first i found when i was ready for lunch. Although it didn't have many clients, it really ended up being better that i expected. I ordered blini with salmon roe and sour cream- both yummy and pleasing to the eye. Also had a pasta dish and that was good also, but not photo worthy.... More
When we arrived, the Volga was jammed for a special event, but we were assured that we could be taken care of. We sat, worried, we ordered, we waited, we worried and wondered if we should skip out, but then food arrived. My husband's duck magret was one of the best he'd ever had. This is the first place in... I ate at Volga with a friend. We had one of the house menus with three courses and wines for each course (about 24 euros per person, which is expensive in Tartu). The food was ok but not as nice as I would have expected as the restaurant looks very classy. The staff were polite but very young and the... More
This restaurant looks like a night-club from the 1930s with a dance floor and a small stage for a singer and a quartet, as one can see from films depicting that era. It should be the nicest restaurant in town but it's just a big one with good location and long history. The quality of the food was very poor. Wouldn't go back there.
This is a too big Volga Restoran for not so many guests in the Winter. All the dishes are prepared according to the guests recomendation
Had my birthday celebration there along with my friends, my second event to be held there, it's all nice classy and stylish. It would be unfair to leave out that the staff is very friendly and did it's very best to adjust to our needs. Not the cheapest place around, but it's worth it.
Had a dinner with colleagues on a Wednesday night. The palce was almost empty, but the service was very good and the food gave excellent value for money. The blinis were delicious!
Based on earlier recommendations on Tripadvisor we headed to this restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised, even though it was a quiet Monday night. We took their August menu which included three courses for 15 Euro per person. The restaurant has a downstairs section (which would normally be lively), and a more elegant upstairs section. The prices are the same. I... More
