La Dolce Vita is an Italian restaurant which opened its doors in 2003. Its Italian owners serve up traditional dishes from their country. Its pizzas are made in a wood-fired oven which is unique in Tartu, and there is a wide range of pasta dishes to choose from. Some pasta is imported from Italy, while the rest is made on site. The menu also features traditional meat dishes. The quality of La Dolce Vita's menu is reflected in its simple, authentic components: Mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, tomatoes and olive oil. In the summer months you can enjoy the warmer weather on the restaurant's terrace. The restaurant itself is close to a beautiful park, which is the perfect place to enjoy the gelato (Italian ice cream) that the restaurant offers.

Very nice italian restaurant with very cosy garden

The Dolce Vita has an extremely good kitchen and a very nice garden insite which is a very recommendable place for meeting in a silent and well-kept place. The pizzas are really excellent and overall it is not expensive. The service is very friendly, fast and patient. I recommend also to test the... read more

We had a couple of pizzas at La Dolce Vita. Although probably not as good as pizzas you would eat in some restaurants in Italy, they were more than correct and better than most pizzas you can eat outside Italy. Parmigiano not very tasty though.

We were really looking forward to eating at this restaurant as we'd heard good things about it. However, we had to wait for over half an hour before being served even though it wasn't particularly busy; when we mentioned this to the waitress she was completely unapologetic. That being said, the food was good.

A very nice restaurant with outdoor seating in the beautiful old town of Tartu. Believe it or not, but when we entered the place, the Estonian President Ilves (with 2 "Gorillas" sitting at the first table after the entrance door) had his early dinner there. We had a very nice, thin pizza and tasty penne all' arrabbiata. Waiters are friendly,... More

One of my favourite restaurants in Tartu. Have tried vegetarian pastas, pizzas, onion soup and the amazing desserts. So far haven’t eaten anything less than amazing! Friends and family has eaten non-vegetarian meals there as well, are also very pleased. This place can be a little too noisy at lunchtime but the amazing food totally is worth it :-)

Huge selection of pizzas (7 - 10 EUR). We have tried three of them and all was fantastic. Bruschettas and vitello tonato are also delicious. Advance table booking recommended, as the place is very popular and you can wait for half an hour for a free table without booking.

Been there 3 times and every single visit was a disaster. Pizza was undercooked, pasta was overcooked (pasta melted to my fork) and calzone was just horrible. I've travelled all around Italy and this restaurant is far away from all i've seen there.

We've noticed that it is a popular place and tried pizzas, salads, etc. ourselves. You'll be full and happy, promise.
