La Dolce Vita is an Italian restaurant which opened its doors in 2003. Its Italian owners serve up traditional dishes from their country. Its pizzas are made in a wood-fired oven which is unique in Tartu, and there is a wide range of pasta dishes to choose from. Some pasta is imported from Italy, while the rest is made on site. The menu also features traditional meat dishes. The quality of La Dolce Vita's menu is reflected in its simple, authentic components: Mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, tomatoes and olive oil. In the summer months you can enjoy the warmer weather on the restaurant's terrace. The restaurant itself is close to a beautiful park, which is the perfect place to enjoy the gelato (Italian ice cream) that the restaurant offers.

Great Italian in the middle of Estonia

I came here with a group of my friends when we were making our way around the Baltic countries. The Italian in our group enjoyed his Berlino pizza very much, while another happily munched on her Delicata pizza. Thin crust and great ingredients. My girlfriend and I shared a very tasty pumpkin soup... read more

Best pizzas, pasta, carpaccio in Tartu - worth to come! Maybe just the waitresses could be more cheerful, it seems some of them never smile. Luckily some do :)! And always make a reservation to be sure you`ll have the table.

La Dolce Vita was just around the corner so we wanted to check were the good ratings right. Restaurant was half full though it was middle of the week. We got our table fast and were able to order in couple of minutes. We both took pizzas on the list and it took only 5 min to get them on... More

We did not have a reservation, and it was full, but waitresses told us to wait for a moment and soon we got a table. We ordered pescatore soup and bruchetta for starters. Pescatore soup had a very nice flavour and lots of good quality frutti di mare, 5 stars. Bruchetta was ok. Service was very efficient and friendly. They... More

This is the only place in Tartu which is running with full throttle force since its opening. Staff knows English very well. The prices are a bit higher, though at the end you will be delighted to fulfill your higher expectation received either from a friend or from a good review.

Ever since this place opened up, it's been my favorite Italian eatery in town - even though the prices are a bit on the higher end, the food is well worth it - you won't get better pizza anywhere else in Tartu, it's even cooked in a proper oven. When price is an issue, they offer daily specials, both pizza... More

If you want a good italian pizza then this is the place to have it at Tartu. Staff is friendly and there are affordable daily specials available. Book in advance if you hit a busy hour because the place is rather popular and is easily filled up during lunch and dinner hours.

Decided on a quick lunch in the middle of the busy working week and we chose to eat here as it is new and offered a little something different. 'Coffee-shop-like' self service with class! The food was simple but "yummy". The roast chicken and roasted vegetables was delicious and oh so succulent, and I asked that it be served with... More
