When we arrived at the restaurant, they did not know about our reservation which was done through their website 3 weeks before, never the less they found us a table easily because the restaurant was pretty empty. We were in a small room and the reason why was that they were cleaning the restaurant. When it comes to the food... More

After chef Tõnis Siigur left the restaurant earlier this year due to the change of owner of the Three Sister Hotel, Bordoo is not the same. Still there are great interiors and very caring service, but the menu, put together by a new chef is very ordinary, and the quality of food served is very average. The chocolate fondant is... More

We stumbled upon this after getting off the boat from Finland and coming through Fat Margaret's Gate. Not our usual lunchtime fare bit we really enjoyed our meal of scallops, rabbit and steak! We sat in the courtyard on a beautiful sunny day and were very well served. The highlight was going to the toilet which were amazing with stained... More

Two excellent lunches: one inside, in the rather formal restaurant, the other in the very nicely arranged court yard, offering a direct entrance from the street. Excellent pike perch and duck "confit", both interesting and delicious, followed by tasty desserts. The service was excellent, both times. Two negative points : billing tap water (although served in a beautiful carafe, with... More

I can only echo the previous reviewer, Mummi1111, in the comments. Uninspiring menu . I couldn’t bring myself to order a hamburger (which is the default room service option post midnight). And there were only two other choices. I asked what the fish of the day was, only to be told it was “white”. I probed a bit further –... More

This Bordoo was highly recommended to us. In the middle of the summer on a thursday evening the atmosphere was very winter-a like with candles and poor air condition. The menu was boring: Cesar salad, Goat cheese salad or soup as a starter, and main courses also very usual. I finally too a Hamburger as a main course, and in... More

My husband and I dined at Bordoo on a Saturday evening in April. The menu was a fixed price of €55 without wine. It was really good. The Amuse bouche x 2 were both tasty and beautifully presented. The second was served in a cigar box. There were two 'lit cigars' resting on the base. It was duck wrapped in... More

Bordoo is excellent for ambience - quiet, muted lights, tables set well apart, decor in keeping with the rest. The food was likewise good, the rather short menu was a good sign that what would appear would be carefully prepared. The fish "Landscape" was ok, though the overall result of this melange was that no clear impression of what one... More

A really nice place. Very good service (one of the best I've experienced), good dishes, beautiful interior and a high price tag. I recommend choosing their complex menues containg 5 or more dishes. These are nice.

Ambitious Chef and a commanding owner, the combination works. They have gotten it together, Service, food and the setting. The essence of fine dining is alive and well at Bordoo.
