Excellent food, poor coctails

Very nice food- starting starters, finishing deserts. Very professional stuff. Coctails was the only thing that was really poor- better take wine.

I've always had good food here - although not always anything more than that - and on the whole I think you might expect a bit more for what you pay. That said, the fried capers are to die for.

Rotermann area is real interesting full of shops, boutiques, cafés and restaurants. And real easy to get, because it's half way from Viru Centre to harbour. Alter Ego is real stylish restaurant, youthful and friendly service and real delicious food and reasonable prices, considering their high quallty and central location. They had two different lunch menus, where you can choose... More

Situated in a back alley, around the corner from the Nordic Hotel, this is a most attractive modern restaurant, serving a three-course set-menu business lunch for 12 euros. When we visited on Wednesday lunch time it was very quiet, and we had prompt efficient service. The set-menu lunch offers a vegetarian choice on all three courses, but if you want... More

We went to eat nice dinner there. I liked interior, but some add of colors would not do bad either. Entree was good, but serving was not the best. Grilled mini squids and chicken liver tasted pretty good. For main course we had tuna and seabream. My seabream was a bit overcooked. Dessert sadly was total fail. Choux pastry filled... More

At Alter Ego, you get a great selection of surprising, well-made dishes, in a very stylish and friendly atmosphere. I made it a point to go here every time I visited Tallinn.

We had a great dinner last weekend in Alter Ego. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip in the Baltics. Prices are very reasonable considering the type of venue, food was fantastic (generous portions, good presentation and everything was very tasty) and wine was exactly as described by our waitress and not expensive. Service was excellent. Definitely recommend it.

We had a business dinner meeting there last night and meal was terrible, food floating in oil, disgusting and inedible. Maybe the worst restaurant experience ever.

Nice location in the shopping centre. Stopped to relax, sit in the sun and watch the world go by. The wine was not good. It was past its best. No prosecco either. Nice clean loos. Good location

Personally I wouldn't class this as meditarianian. It's definitely Spanish! However it was good food and service. Classy restaurant with a good selection of food which was lovely. It is more expensive than other places I have eaten but all in all it was really lovely.
