Leib is run by two professional foodies - a chef and a sommelier. Having our own restaurant is a dream come true for both of us. Leib means black bread in Estonian and we have chosen it to be our name for a reason! Good old local black bread - fresh, warm, simple, and honest - it's what we, Estonians, grow up with and what we dream about when away. It's what we are, really. Good bread is always made with soul. We are passionate about sharing goodies from our homeland. We work with local farmers and fishermen to create delicious yet simple dishes. Since most of our ingredients are local, the menu is always seasonal. Less is more- therefore our menu is compact and constantly changing. Hand-made bread, coupled with foods made from natural, local ingredients is a true gastronomic delight. Leib - soulful casual dining!

Little hidden garden

Go there, especially in Summer! The best part of my experience there was sitting outside in the beautiful little garden. The menu has not too many choices, but all of them are made of good, pure ingredients and carefully matched with wine.

Everything was very good in this restaurant. Food was excellent, service fine and atmosthere good. Restaurant building outside and (summer)terrace perfect too. But the absolutely best part was one of most excellent winelist i have ever seen in restaurants round Europe. And price-quality level especially among Italian redwines was impressive too; forexample bottle of Masi Mazzano amarone 2006 120 euros;... More

It's all about the bread. This restaurant was recommended by everyone, and we certainly weren't disappointed. The food was good (my meat should have been less chewy, but the soup starter and chocolatey dessert were fine), and the service was just right, but we were in a downstairs room which was almost entirely devoid of atmosphere. The menu was narrow,... More

There is an upstairs and downstairs. Upstairs has more charm, feels more club-like. It claims the best sommelier in Estonia. The food has a pure taste. Nice service but not remarkable.

Been here many times and this is a very nice restaurant in your stay in Tallinn. The food here is fantastic and the service is immaculate. I recommend the beer and food pairings they have on their menu. I had the unbelievable chocolate fondant with a local porter a few years back which I will probably remember forever! The garden... It's a very cute restaurant located on north in old town. The atmosphere at the Leib Resto is very good and the service is friendly but also professional. Fine estonian cousine. I've tasted two different dishes: the 1st one is a siberian sturgeon fillet with creamy sauce and fennel, the 2nd is an Estonian beef fillet with dark kale and... More

We arrived by the end of the service and therefore could only pick dishes from starters or desserts. Even then we noticed that service was quick (5-10 minutes to bring the dishes out), full of flavours, staff friendly and helpful. Not a child friendly place though.

If you are looking for quality in food and service you won't find much better than this anywhere in the world. As soon as we entered I felt a warm good feeling about this place. The atmosphere was great and we were immediately greeted on entering and shown to our table. I had the Kalamatsi dairy soft goat cheese with... More

Lei Resto ja Aed is one of two best restaurants in Tallinn. Amazingly nice staff and high qualitu service and food is even better, you can basically taste passion in the plate. Kristjan is doing such a great work over there.

Very good food, especially local- Estonian. Nice garden to have a dinner outside. But we had a dinner at winter time which means that no outside eating. If you drink you should definitely try the home made liqueurs like rhubarb, I don't drink but my mate did and she enjoyed it very much.
