Hand-made bread, coupled with foods made from natural, local ingredients is a gastronomic delight. Add the city’s most stunning terrace and it’s soulful. We love simple, soulful food made from the finest, freshest ingredients. We don’t like pretentious food, stuffy service, or overpriced menus. Sometimes you just want a good meal. That’s why we created Leib: a restaurant where two guys crazy for food would want to eat themselves. We’ve both worked years in the restaurant business, and we felt the time was right to open our own place. (It helped our decision that we were offered the city’s best terrace.) We are true “food guys,” and one of us is always in the restaurant.

Eating out in a garden

Not easy to find but certainly worth the effort. We had the Estonian beef fillet, perch and pan fried chicken. And it was a most enjoyable meal! A bit off the main track, found through Tripadvisor, lies a hidden gem. Very professional and friendly staff. Lovely food. Very nice outside terrace. And all at e very reasonable price.

Inventive, basic and refined all at the same time! One of the few restaurants where the also advise on the right beer with your meal if you happen to prefer that over wine.( of which they have a wide selection also) Service is aimiable and attentive.Good choice for a romantic evening for two, or a great dinner with friends!

We visited this Old Town restaurant for dinner and our first impressions were a little ominous, as it is located in some slightly crumbling houses. However, our spirits were lifted when we entered via a short flight of steps and a rear garden and realised that the restaurant's interior had been extensively renovated and modernised. We were shown to the... More

This is one of the best places in Tallinn on trip advisor and deserves this reputation. Place was buzzing on a Monday lunch with a mix of Estonian and foreign crowd. Service is sleek and professional. Beverage menu boosts loads of delicious Estonian craft beers and these are matched with dishes on the menu. Ingredients are as local as possible,... More

Very professional and friendly service. Waitresses had good suggestions for fitting wine and beer for each meal. Beer and wine list was enormous. I'd like to return there with my wife and test something else.

Friends of mine who visit Tallinn frequently made us reservations at Leib Resto ja Aed. This is a very charming restaurant on two levels and it is a little off the beaten path of Old Town, which made dining here a more relaxed and intimate experience. We ate on the lower level which was a more intimate space than the... More

Wonderful sour rye bread. Wonderful Baltic herring. Great beer. Friendly service. A perfect lunch to top off our one day visit from our cruise ship.

Nicely located, in a courtyard by the old town's walls. It was a bit difficult to find as you don't enter from n.31 on the main road, but a bit further down on the right. The restaurant is as warm and welcoming as it's staff and the service is quick and attentive. Selection of wine and beers is impressive, but... More

A really nice restaurant with a bit of a hidden location. Excellent local food complemented with a great selection of wines and local beers. The service was really nice and made the experience even better. Strongly recommend!
