Description: A warm and cosy contemporary Asian-style decor: high vaulted ceiling, large windows, decoratively revealed fragments of brickwork, laconic dark wood tables (the larger ones,of course, equipped with a revolving central part) sans tablecloths, a stylised stupa andsakura branches on one side of the room. Authentic chairs (imported from China),impressive Zen-style loos built in antique medieval vaults. The central niche with its twored and gold-painted trees is reminiscent of the splendid landscapes in Hero, the fi lm bythe Chinese director Zhang Yimou. Like many restaurants in the Old Town, this establishment does not advertise its name strongly outside. On going into this Asian restaurant you will notice the smart and lovely decor. The service was very good and the food was also top. Our Dim Sum platter starter was really delicious. I will go again.

Chedi has not only hit No 1 restaurant in Tallinn for me, but is the best Asian food I've eaten outside Asia as well. It's perfection from start to end. Decor, ambient, service, location and of course food. Whatever dish you order, it will be delicious. We've tried mushroom dim-sum, squid tempura and soft-shell crab for starters. The crab was... I strongly recommend anyone visiting Tallinn to visit also Chedi restaurant. Nice atmosphere with a nice menu of Asian Fusion -type dishes. For those who have visited Farang in Helsinki you could compare Chedi to it, but there is a big difference in prices. Chedi is 50% cheaper :)

Visited in Chedi at 13.9, late afternoon, at quiet time with my husband and son. All of us selected different dishes for starters, main cources and dessert. None was disappointing. All dishes were well made and beatifully presented. Try especially golden fried squid but also dim sum platter and ribs were worth for money. Starters were quite big - so... More

Tasty food, good value for money. Portions are not very big. Nice atmosphere. Would have enjoyed our romantic dinner more without a large party of finnish people next to us.

Classy interior with a few eye-catching artifacts. Good seating with large tables. Quick and attentive service by well informed crew of waiters and waitresses. The chef originally from Singapore has put together a menu which has some Thai and Chinese elements. I tried the raw tuna Thai style. Very nice but without the explicit Thai savors but nice to see... I have been in this restaurant at least four times, and I have never been disappointed. The fusion cuisine is well executed, dishes are well presented and portions are not too small, as it is often the case in this kind of restaurants. After a day of sightseeing in Tallinn, this is an excellent place to have a fine dinner.... More

Excellent food. Average, even unconcerned service. Kind of "The poor man´s" Farang in Helsinki. Try Dim sum and Pi Pa Duck. The prices are pretty high on Estonian standard. Still worth a visit.
