very nicely decorated in a modern meets traditional estonian way. nice quiet atmosphere and good service. i had the rabbit filet, i reccommend it- was mild yet tasty. meals were good, price was ok and they were excellently plated. try the mead (honey beer), its pretty good for being from an industrial brewery. i reccommend reservations if you plan on... I always thought restaurants at the tourist attractions are overpriced and have bad service but Kaerajaan was amazing! We were seated by the window on the second floor over looking the main square in the Old Town. The service wasn’t anything extra special but very friendly and polite! The food on the other hand was exceptional! I never really understood... More

Our first meal in Estonia. Really fresh and surprising. We got a warm welcome when we arrived. And a nice view on the main square and the town hall, when you are sitting at the window. Good value!

It started well with a beetroot cream soup which was out of this world. The main course rabbit was tasteless. My wife had the wild boar which was just slightly better. Having researched this restaurant and read the good reviews; this was a big letdown.

We found this restaurant with advice from a local resident friend who had said "when you are in Tallinn this is where you should eat". We were in Tallinn on a very rainy day and were delighted to find this welcoming and elegant restaurant open for lunch on a wet Tuesday. Local dishes included wild boar stew and plentiful fresh... We walked around and around the main square and outer area before deciding on Kaerajaan for our evening meal. They all look so good but this one looked modern and comfortable inside but the menu reflected Estonia rather than a general international menu. We was not disappointed. The beetroot soup starter was fantastic and the main meals were great too.... More

Kaerajaan offers an experience into the traditional Estonian cuisine and so very very much more. The traditional foods are perfectly cooked but they can also manage amazing oysters--the best I have had in Tallinn and their desserts are just beyond words. It is a must when in Tallinn. They accept all major credit cards, have kids options and are located... More

Nice outdoor seating on the square in the Old Town. Comfy, with blankets and heaters for the chilly evenings. We had a very good meal, and the beet soup was fantastic (and I am NOT a fan of beets).

Exceptional service and exceptional food - in a stylish and also an Estonian setting. Service was perfect, probably the best service I have experienced in Europe over the last year. The food melted in my mouth and everyone I was with felt the same. Aili was our servers, she was also who I contacted in regards to our reservation -... More
