A bit wary of visiting restaurants on the main square, but on a Sunday most of the others are closed, so gave this one a go and was very satisfied. It's a little more upmarket and pricey than some of its neighbours, but well worth it. I can particularly recommend the duck, and of course a visit to the intriguing... More

After much discussion over which restaurant to visit in Tallinn's town hall square, we decided on this one - we weren't disappointed. The service was warm and attentive, the décor modern yet homely. The menu interesting if not particularly expansive. Two of us had the beef tenderloin and the other the wild boar fillet. Both were excellent, one of the... More

Work colleagues took me here for an evening meal and it was excellent, i just couldnt work out why it was so quiet, but they did say it was a little pricey for locals. I had a very nice soup followed by the best wild boar ive ever eaten. Two tips, order the creme brulee, it is served in a... More

Roasted Baltic herrings were unsalted but nice and crispy. I asked beef tenderloin in medium-rare but instead I got medium plus and the thin meat sides were well done. As I was hungry and we used discount vouchers I did not complain, but I would have returned the dish in case of full price. The service was excellent and carpaccio... More

As authentic tourists, we walked around Old Town, checking menüs on displays outside of restaurants. We were recommended few places, but something was appealing on Kaerajaan location, menü and deco. Restaurant Kaerajaan has floor to roof window views to Old Town square. Inside interior is plain and modern. STAFF was professional. FOOD was very tasty. I had filet mignon. Altought... More

It is not a very large seating area so I suggest during peak periods, make a reservation. This I was told by locals, was authentic Estonian food. The service was very good, the waiter could explain the menu and presentation was excellent. Not all the tastes were to my liking but I tried a few dishes and it was a... More

My partner and I shared the meat platter for dinner... Beef, lamb, duck, wild boar and elk. We don't get the latter two in Australia, so we wanted the experience. Both meats were tasty, but we felt they were a little over done; medium-rare is more out style. The beef and lamb were cooked perfectly, but the duck was exceptional.... More

We had read great reviews of this restaurant which has a superb location right on the Town Hall Square. It all started off so well - table looking out on the Christmas Market on the square. lots to watch while waiting for food. Starters were fine lovely warm herrings for my husband and fairly ordinary tomato soup with fish for... More

I really like this restaurant. First the location at the Town Hall Square is great. It is great to sit beside a window and to look all the people passing by. I also really like the food. The ingredients are traditional Estonian, but the outcome is much nicer than the everyday Estonian food. I always invite my foreign friends and... More
