Surprisingly tasty

We walked around the old town after a full day excursion. As we weren't starving so we found this restaurant for a light meal along with dessert, we ordered food to share. We had Cream of clear Fish Soup, duck breast, famous chocolate fondant cake. The soup was extremely tasty and had fresh... read more

The food is good but the waitresses are not kind at all, prices are little bit higher than usual in Tallinn.

In thevotherwise sad scene on Town Hall Square of overpriced, bad food and service that alternates between pushy and indifferent, this place excels with an inventive menu taking traditional Estonian cooking to the modern age, and accommodating service (we have a lot of food restrictions to manage and Kaerajaan did a great job with all of them). As a bonus,... More

We have enjoyed drinking wine here during the summer and thought we would eat dinner here as the summer comes to an end - poor decision. The menu is tempting with nice photos (they do say avoid any restaurant with photos of the dishes but I forgot that simple rule tonight). My wife's starter of fried herring was a bit... More

On holiday in Estonia, we went to this restaurant located on Tallinn's main square. Food was correct, although not unforgettable: Estonian specialities with a bit of inventiveness. Service was good, although a bit slow. Probably a bit expensive for Tallinn, but you pay for the location.

A wonderful relaxing lunch sitting facing the main square and eating Estonian food with a local beer, it doesn’t get much better. The service is first class, they all speak perfect English, the food is a bit different but extremely good and for people watching it can’t be beaten.

We were four adults and two children. The modern Estonian style menu served American fast food basics like burgers and ribs which came with some Estonian style variations on the theme. We all enjoyed our selections as we watched the people going by in the town square as well as the entertainers, which included a medieval knight who sometimes lent... More

Thank you so much for your feedback but according to your description of menu it seems that you sat at our nabour restaurant terrace just next to us. Restaurant Kaerajaan serves modern Estonian food and we have much more than a hamburgers and ribbs at our menu. We still hope to welcome at our restaurant next time while you are... More

Enjoyed sitting here on a sunny afternoon observing the goings on around the square while relaxing and resting the legs. Staff are efficient, drink list should satisfy most and good selection of food whether wanting to share a few items or have a full meal. Don't be scared off by its location, is not a tourist trap.
