Kitch but Cosy

Café Josephine was the first place we saw when we were cold and hungry - we could not have asked for a better place for lunch. The décor was quirky but had comfort in mind. The four of us had a mix of sandwiches, salads, soup and pasta (enormous) and they were just what we needed. The cups of... read more

We didn't want a 'full' menu so chose one of the Baked Pasta dishes and drinks. The house wine was just about drinkable but one glass was sufficient for our palates. Pasta was OK but no more. Young lady serving was very pleasant. Would not return.

It is one of the few real cafes in Tallinn which deserve to be called cafè. Very nice and interesting interior, good and cosy atmosphere. They serve very good coffee and have long list of cakes and high quality truffels to offer. Rio rio is excellent if you like spicey. Location is on Vene street some steps away from the... More

If you are art deco lover this is the place to be in Tallinn. Nice little cafe. Only down side is the service. ..We had to ask for everything...only thing a plus for the young cook....who seems to work as a waitress as well.

Beautiful place with a remarkable interior serving fantastic chocolates, cakes and pastries. It's just so different from the usual tourist spots.

Thanks to reviews on here, I would have never found this one of a kind cafe tucked away in a back street of Tallinn and I'm SO GLAD I DID because it was the cutest cafe ever! I absolutely loved the 1920s Paris theme and when we walked in there was French jazz music playing and it smelled wonderful! I... More

We thought this lovely little cafe looked welcoming and warm after doing the walking tour of Tallin on a freezing day and we were not disappointed. We ordered hot chocolate to warm us and were served delicious creamy drinking chocolate in glasses lined with melted chocolate - one of the best hot chocolates we've ever had. We ordered baked Camembert... More

….and it looks like a Parisian bistrot. I popped in just for a shot, but on the counter some tempting cakes made a fine showing. A little expensive.
