Quick bite at the summer terrace

It was 3:00 on a sunday afternoon, we needed a place to sit down after touring tallinn for 5 hours so we decided to stop by the summer terrace at tchaikovsky. It was our first time there but I remembered it was open until 4:00 from their website. Getting a table was not a problem without... read more

This is an occasion restaurant, exceptional food, proffessional service and a string quartet played wonderful music all evening. Pricey but worth it - a most memorable experience.

It was a highlight of our trip. We have been there on a Friday evening, without a reservation. Gladly found a table, but I definitely recommend making a reservation. Guests were mostly semi-formally dressed, me and mum were casually dressed but it didn't matter. It is a chic, romantic place with violinists playing Tchaikovsky. Very polite and informative waitresses, fluent... More

We went here on the 23rd of June (an Estonian public holiday) and received the reception I'm sure we would get any day of the week. So much so that we hopefully will be going back again in the next few days despite the cost! The food, Russian with French presentation and influence was consistently beautiful and worth the money... We dined in Tchaikovsky on a Monday evening recently. The dinner was very, very good: lobster soup and halibut fiilet for my wife, asparagus and black angus fillet for me. Plus compliments from the chef (twice!). It was an extraordinarily pleasant dinner, which we both will remember.

Great experience, great food, great wine. Definitely an expensive meal but well worth it. Space is gorgeous and the addition of music set a wonderful tone.

A marvellous Russian-French restaurant in Tallinn's Old Town. Setting, service, food, wine -- all excellent. And lovely live music. Very reasonable prices, too. Highly recommended. And please, dress to the occasion ...

We stayed in the Telegraaf Hotel in Tallin and thus ate in the hotel restaurant, the Tchaikovsy, on our first evening. The ambience would have been improved by some more diners, but the decor and tableware is very nice. We chose the set menu which was four courses, amuse-bouche, all very delicious. And beautifully presented. We had plenty of time... More

What a great Saturday evening dinner we had. The restaurant has a very elegant interior with dark colors, skylights and art on the walls. The food was sophisticated, inventive and it had intense flavors. The clients were being served by an army of waiters who were good at what they do. Overall a very nice experience and most definitely one... More

Fantastic food! Friendly staff and service. Chairs of the restaurant were not good. I don't like soffas. They are too soft.
