Met the challenge

Finding that the restaurant we had planned to visit was closed we walked the streets of Vilnius hoping for one to jump out and grab us. So walking into Cathedral Square we came across the street extention of Zoe's Bar & Grill which was humming. First course of Nacho's and Asian spring rolls... read more

I had an interesting Thai dish that wasn't authentic but rather, Thai inspired. It was a stir fried concoction of chicken, vegetables and Ramen noodles. Spicy enough and came close to authentic. My wife had a BLT with fries. It was good. The atmosphere is great, with open air seating across from cathedral square. If you've had enough of Blynia... More

zoe's is conveniently located close to my hotel, so i have been there more than once during my regular business travels to vilnius. i like the open kitchen layout, and the wait staff are friendly hipsters with their tattoos and piercings. however, i will not be returning. i ordered the spicy stir-fried noodles with mixed seafood and vegetables (9 EUR)... Had lunch, the medium rare burger completely overcooked, thai noodles dry and tasteless. Beer plus small salad was some 10-12eur, which is completely overpriced for lituanian standards. The only good thing is the view and the service.

I went to Zoe's for a quick lunch and ordered jerusalem artichoke soup and salmon steak. The soup was just sublime, perfectly made with a seared scallop in it, I was just simply blown away by it and would go for it every single day for the rest of my life. Yet, I can not say the same about the... More

Everytime I come to this place I feel satisfied. Food is great, it has some Thai taste. Try spicy beef soup -- won't feel dissapointed if you enjoy spicy dishes. Waiters seems to be nice & they know what gluten is! And during summer time their outside places have the best view you could find in Vilnius -- the cathedral.

This was my second visit to Zoe's (the last one being about 2 years ago). I had a salad with feta and beetroot (very nice, could have done with a bit more vinegar for my taste) and a coffee-flavoured local beer (interesting!) and tried their signature meatballs from a friend's plate. Apparently, Zoe's is famous for their Swedish-style meatballs (at... More

We each ordered a very different dish (meatballs, Jerusalem soup, chicken Caesar) and each one was delicious. The service could definitely be improved - a smile? Or acknowledgement when you walk in? Either would be nice! We sat outside because the weather was fantastic on this day.

Having just taken the Hop-on-Hop off bus tour we wanted somewhere close-by to get out of the rain and came across Zoe's. We were quickly seated and given the menu and decided on meat balls which were delicious followed by an ice cream sundae smothered in whipped cream & cherry sauce. Service was very efficient from a smiling waitress. Just... More

This really is a little hole-in-the-wall, vinyl-themed as one of the other reviewers said. Even the menus are old double-LPs, which is kinda cool. The first time we were in there, we just had beers at the bar and there was a bald dude in the corner spinning records. The next time we were back, the DJ had become the... More
