Narrow Stikliu street in the old town of Vilnius began it‘s history in XVth century, when merchants and craftsmen, invited by Lithuanian Grand Dukes, here started their businesses - shops, workshops and taverns. The building, where currently restaurant “Lokys” is situated, was build in the end of XVth century for one of the merchants both for living and trading purposes.Over centuries, gothic cellars changed their owners for couple of times. Here have been shops, taverns and beerhouses, until 1972, when it was restored and hunters’ restaurant “Lokys” housed here.

Amazing food, authentic place. Must visit for tourists and great for business!

Definitely worth to visit if you love true food and calm authentic environment. Everything from meat to desert and wine was excellent! Will visit again with my friends and team members.

I read the reviews on TA and decided to give it a try. I am a hunter and always interested visiting places like this. We got a table in the cellar. The place was a bit chill, but interesting. I orders the beaver, which was a very nice dish. Other people at the table orders salmon, boar and pork. The... More

Went here having read a Guardian review of the place. Very traditional "hunting food theme" - we had beaver and boar. Really good decor very polite and helpful staff. Very popular with all nationalities. Well presented. The menu is fairly small so check it out online if you can to make sure there is something for you - not for... More

We were a bit concerned that this would be a tourist trap but the building is a genuine 16th century merchant's house and the menu was varied and well- priced with very pleasant and efficient service. My husband ordered beaver and I had wild boar; both were excellent although beaver meat is perhaps a bit strong for some tastes. We... More

we ate here a couple of times while in Vilnius. We mainly ate game and drank some nice beer too. We sat downstairs the first night and in the courtyard on the second occasion. Both good meals. Service was very good too.Price was c. €40 all in which was reasonable.

We were a lagre group of people who pre-ordered the lituanian fest. The food was excellent, the service quick and efficient and the atmosphere was very nice. Highly recommend for larger groups.

A nice throwback to the medieval era in the Baltics with fantastic (if a little tourist-eclectic) dishes such as stewed beaver, which I had. My partner had the potato cutlets with mushroom sour cream sauce. The decor is traditional and atmospheric. People dining there have, on the whole, made an effort with their attire, which is nice. It feels quite... More
