Friedrich's arcade is one of the most vivid symbols of Klaipeda. Long and colorful history of the old town and progressive modernism meets here. This unique space represents the lively tradition of the biggest European capitals to transform whole streets into arcades that unite cozy cafes, restaurants, stylish boutiques and guest houses in one place. The arcade opened in 2006 and was named to commemorate a historic personality - King Friedrich Wilhelm III of Prussia who resided in Klaipeda during the Napoleon war. Today Friedrich's arcade is rightfully titled by Klaipeda citizens and city's guests as probably the coziest attraction centre with the most unique aura on the Lithuanian coast. Everybody who comes for a cup of coffee, business lunch or dinner with a company of friends is welcomed here. Once you visit Friedrich's arcade you will feel what it means to stop the moment. And you will want to come back once again with your most honorable guests.

Classy and Convenient with Quality and Ambience

Friedrich Passage sets the standard for Mediterranean cuisine and more here in Klaipeda. Whether you are looking for a place for yourself or to entertain guests, it will probably satisfy just about anyone. Plus it is surrounded by a lot of interesting shops and Kaipeda's oldest open-air market.

Good local food and nice quite place. Be carefull, portions are very big. Only problem was refusal to bring drink not in 200 ml glass but asone liter plus 2 glasses. So we had to order yet another glass evey 10 min.

Nice and picturesque position. The Pizza was accetable but not very good. Service was poor, waitress rather rude.At end of the meal the waiter asked us if we wanted the bill. We said not yeat as we would like to finish our wine first. And after two minutes she brough the bill on our table. No very polite.

The Friedricho Pasazas (Friedrichs' Arcade) was the closest eating establishment to my hotel. It is a quite a cozy courtyard with various eateries. Since I wanted to try Lithuanian food, I went to the place called 'Smukle' (Inn, Tavern). The whole 'Passage' gets the 'Top Choice' in Lonely Planet. It was a rainy evening, so I sat indoors with unfortunately... More

First of all, Friedrichos Vynine at the end of the street is a very cosy place to come for a bottle of wine and some tapas both summer and winter. They have a good selection of good wines and very good cheese/ham/olives/chocolates to go with it. I use this place regularly for my visitng customers and it has never gone... More

We did not eat here, so I can't say anything about the food. But we bought wine at two of the bars in the passage. First we went to the bar closest to Tiltu street. It was an OK simple bar. But the wine tasted like it had been left open for days. But I have got worse wine before... More

The wine list used to be very good. Now it is decimated. The waiter doesn't speak English and the menu is smaller than it used to be. Still good, but not a natural first choice anymore.

It was a nice restaurant to have and taste Lithuanian food. It was possible to listen some nice live music (jazz).
