We had a meal outside ( pedestrian area). Service was great, vegetables soup, salmon caviar, halibut and lamb were delicious. Don't forget to have a look inside - it's a cellar but " wow"!

Situated in a historic cellar this restaurant was one of the best we've dined so far since we've been in Lithuania. It has a romantic atmosphere with a choice of good wines and classy service. The food was nicely garnished and in our opinion we could recommend it to all fellow diners who may visit this wonderful city.

The food at this restaurant would not be out of place amongst the top eateries in any city in Europe .Served with class and sofistication in the delightful basement below the main route into the Old town Square .Despite its class and quality the prices are more than resonable .

This restaurant is located in Kuanas Old Town which in itself is very quaint. A mixture of architectural styles reflect the varied history. The restaurant is in brick lined vaults. First impression is that it is very poorly lit. In fact this is not so, the lighting is subdued but it is still possible to read the menu! Just as... More

A restaurant which is full of character, beautiful inside, being located down in the old cellars. Nice menu with plenty of choice, we really enjoyed the food, especially the fantastic chocolate cake with olives. Prices reasonable, charming and attentive staff. A definite re-visit on our next trip to Kaunas.

This restaurant definitely deserves a visit. We celebrated here birthday with family last Saturday. We had various starters, which were very tasty. For mains we had pork, catfish and duck.Catfish was average - to my taste it was over-seasoned, I was not able to taste a fish itself. Duck breast was excellent and so was the pork. Special thanks to... More

I recently visited Kaunas for work and wanted to organize a celebration for about 17 friends and colleagues. Senieji Rusiai was recommended by locals. The manager Jolita was very helpful and made good suggestions about food and wines. She even arranged for us to have local pianist Rolandas Dzedulionis play for our party, - a very nice touch. The waiter,... More

Senieji Rusiai is one of the best restaurants in Kaunas, that i visit occasionally when i'm in town. My favourite dish is beef tartar which is without consideration the best in town! Overall the food is excellent! Highly recommended!

One of our favourite places to eat whilst visiting Kaunas. Excellent food (presentation and taste) at good value for money. Friendly staff and an interesting painting on the wall, depicting Napoleon and the Frebch Mid Army crossing the Nemunas river. I highly recommend this restaurant.
