The Slovak Pub is, of course, full of tourists - but when I visited, it was still quiet enough to pretend that it wasn't... The menu is extensive and cheap - giving you lots of opportunity to try out some new dishes if you are new to the area or travelling through. On separate occasions I chose the Bryndzove Halusky,... Really nice pub! Well priced for authentic Slovakian cuisine! Most of us had a really nice garlic soup which was served in a loaf of bread! We then went for Halusky which is a creamy cheesy sauced pasta with crispy bacon! I would thoroughly recommend the sharing Halusky for two and Kofola which is a spiced coke-like drink and is... More

They serve slovakian cusine in the center of old town. If you want to try some typical, local food, you definetly should go there. Really good service and cold beer :)

Great place with very good atmosphere. Menu is good, traditional food mainly, that happens to be the best I tried in the city. Prices are one of the best in town too and the best part is that is not only tourists who go there, saw a lot of locals too, so you know its bound to be good! Really... More

Huge and has a really great design, the food served fast and it's very tasty. The garlic soup and galushki are delicious and the beer is really cheap and tasty. We paid only 25 euro(includes the tip) for two soups, two main courses and two 0.5 glasses of beer.

I never miss this place when I am around. Their dumplings are the best ones I know. Garlic soup in bread is also delicious. The service is fast and polite, the interior is decorated with Slovak paintings and song/poem lyrics. Nice and cozy atmosphere.

Went here twice. Full of tourists both times. They sell their own t-shirts too. But the staff were friendly (and spoke English) and the food was very good. Had the cabbage soup which was excellent and tried a platter of the their own cheeses. House beer was too light to be worth drinking - try the Zlaty Brazant instead. About... More

We found this delightful pub thanks to our hotel clerk. The traditional Slovak food was delicious yet reasonably priced. Our group ordered and shared several entrées; each was tasty and nicely presented. We also tried several Moravian wines and beers - cheap yet full of flavor. Our waitress did an excellent job describing each of the dishes we had ordered,... More

2 courses and a pint of local beer for 8 euros. Great value . Had the Bryndzove halusky (sheeps cheese dumplings ) and struggles to eat it all.

Had a great meal, with local beer and food, and homemade ingredients (cheese, etc). Probably one of my top 5 spots in Europe. My friends, girlfriend and I had an excellent night eating (a lot, plates are huge btw) great food, having beer and talking to local people. Definitely worth the wait, as it was a bit crowded.
