The best food in town

Unbelievable food in correct prices. The stake was the best in Bratislava. Congrats to the chef for cooking this. The cheese in the oven with pears was delicius too. Very good and very cheap wine by the glass

The Czech Republic and Slovakia are not well known for their beef. After a solid week of pork I was ready to take a chance. I was well rewarded. I had the steak with green pepper sauce, mushrooms and oven roasted potatoes and could not have been happier. My friends all had the gypsy pasta, which was a gnocchi with... More

Nicely tucked away down one of the side streets but easy to find. The restaurant was empty inside but completely full outside with a nice atmosphere and mix of locals and tourists. Friendly waiter and good servicr we had the salmon which was very tasty and a brownie for dessert. A nice lighter meal compared to some of the more... More

Lovely hidden cafe garden in quiet pleasant surrounding.... All food on menu shows allergies from gluten, eggs, etc so easy to choose and plenty of tasty options to choose at very reasonable prices ....

We so enjoyed our meal here last Week. Sitting outside was lovely. Service was amazing - not least because our waiter spoke some Irish and was so welcoming and funny. Highly recommend pork in potato pastry and beef and pork in pancake. Will definitely return.

As it was a warm evening, we were able to eat outside in the courtyard and we were pleased to see local families with young children as well as tourists eating there. Service was very friendly and efficient and the food was excellent. Our travelling schnitzel taster declared his choice one of the best of the trip while my smoked... More

Popped in here as it was recommended by a local. The food was pretty ordinary to be fair. Nothing to blow you away. The service was very good and the atmosphere was nice. Maybe the kitchen was having an off day and would probably revisit if back in town.

We ate at Prasna Basta today on the recommendation of a local guide and loved it. We had the pickled cheese appetizer and the halusky for our main courses. Halusky is a traditional Slovakian dish made of potato gnocchi, local cottage cheese, and pancetta-like pork. All were outstanding and the restaurant is in a great old building. You cannot go... As locals, we have to say the Slovak food (particularly the sheep cheese, Bryndzove Halusky) is not authentic. The staff is nice and the atmosphere is as well (both inside and on the patio), however would not at all recommend for a Slovak food experience. Pricing on most items is okay (a bit high for "local dishes") otherwise it would... More

Tired of various places located along tourist routes we used TripAdvisor to find this place. Unpretentious, inexpensive, not too loud nor crowded, good service, tasty meals. We could not ask for more.
