Good food, friendly staff

Ate here after reading trip advisor reviews. Reasonable prices and wine very good. They did give us the wrong bottle (€3 more) however they were very apologetic and the wine was really good, so we didn't mind. Food was very tasty and well presented.

With high expectations I came here but eventually was a bit disappointed. The location seems okay, more "typical Slovak" than high class but which is good. The starter came quite fast but the main dish took almost 35 min until we got it. The service was professional but I didn't feel that it was over perceiptive. The main point for... More

Walking around Bratislava looking for a place to eat will inevitably lead to disappointment unless you like pizza or the post communist/stodgy traditional culinary mash-up that stands for ‘traditional’. However, there are oases in this culinary desert and Prasna Basta is one of them. Now, before you get too excited, this restaurant is no Jamie Oliver but in the land... More

just 100 m. away from the main street where waiters lure you into their "traditional Slovak food" place or girls dance on bars in their nickers - this cosy basement offers food & service that make me feel a local hero - service is great and not overdone - they don't need to because you will come back

Since this was my only Slovakian dinner, I wanted to try local food. I found out about the Prasna Basta on TA. In addition it is located right in front of a great wine bar, the Grand Cru Wine Gallery. I ordered a Palacinka Hortobágy (Chicken pancakes in cream sauce) followed by a Teľacie kúsky s dubákovou omáčkou petržlenová ryža... More

We had been at Gran Cru Winery and needed something to eat, so luckily found this restaurant just across the street. The service was quick and friendly. The food was quite good and just what we needed after out wine tasting. Recommend it.

Prasna basta is one of the most cozyiest restaurants with the garden behind. We love it in the summer. Sitting under the trees drinking the tasty cold beer in the hot summer days. It is idyll which you can experience in Prasna basta restaurant. Recomment to visit it.

Very good and attentive service. Food was great too. Nice and lovely local atmosphere. And can see that this restaurant is visited by many locals too.

The interior is of a traditional character, so is the cuisine. Took the Slovakian specialty halusky for main dish - I was quite missing the delightful taste of sheep cheese. The staff was very friendly, service was impeccable, and they accept almost all credit cards. While it is close to Michalská street, it is less visited by tourists, which makes... More

Delicious, generously sized lunch accompanied by efficient, friendly service from English speaking waiters. Starter: "Poultry paté with cranberries, toast". I love pate so an obvious choice. It very nice, however, much less viscous than any other pate I've tasted.. Although I enjoyed I probably wouldn't order again as I couldn't get used to the consistency. My friend had the "Armenian...
