Excellent Food, Excellent Service, Wonderful staff

Had 4 nights in Bratislava. Ate in the Old Town every night. On the main street with the tourist traps with outdoor seating, found the food to be very mediocre. Came across Prasna Basta on the last night and it was easily the best meal we had during our stay. Go through St Nicholas gate, under the... read more

Great outside seating in open atrium. Very cosy, good food (mushroom risotto is my favorite) and good selection of wine. Service is always above average.

The restaurant is located in the Old Town of Bratislava near Michalska Brana/St. Michael's Tower. The restaurant is small and very cozy decorated with many old photos. Very nice is little terrace with many plants, where you can eat, too. I like this place and visit it often, because meal is good and staff is very nice and helpful. The... More

We strated with the russian soup. followed by a veal stew (special of the day) and sliced veal. All very nice. Washed down with some Frankovka red wine. Good service (I think they prefer conversing in English rather than German - is this something to do with their history?) and fairly priced.

The restaurant is small but cozy. We had a table in a little nook which they had several around the interior. There was a courtyard also but not as nice. I had the zucchini pancake stuffed with a meat goulash that was excellent and my wife had a steak with porcine mushroom sauce and a potato and spinach gratin that... More

The exterior didn't impress, but the decoration inside is very nice and food is excellent. Peppersteak and chicken with goat cheese were great. It's definetly worth of visit and we would highly recommend Prasna Basta!

Situated in the old town of Bratislava this restaurant might be a bit hard to find, but it certainly is worth the search. On warm summer days you certainly want to sit out in the green garden, but during other times of the year the interior of the restaurant provides a cosy atmosphere. We had the luck to have a very... Absolutely not in line with my espectations set by the many positive reviews. The prices, I think are high compared to the average in Bratislava and the food nothing special, also the quantity isn't a strength point. Maybe I was there in the wrong day.....

This restaurant was a little difficult to find, but glad we found it. The approach road seemed like no one comes here. But once in the restaurant, it was clear that it is one of the popular restaurants. The seating area both indoors and outdoors were very good. The service was excellent. The food was also great. The prices were... More

Spent an amazing couple of hours in the sunny courtyard on the last day of our Bratislava stay. The food was amazing, the staff very friendly and polite. For authentic, good quality food and drink at a brilliant price this place cannot be faulted.
