Very good restaurant

We tried the beef goulash with homemade potato dumplings, and famous onion soup. The portions were generous, the food delicious. It is a nice restaurant, would visit it again.

We decided to give Prasna Basta a try based on TripAdvisor reviews and the fact that it was a stone's throw away from hotel room. We were not disappointed and enjoyed a nice lunch which consisted of traditional Slovakian fare. We each had a soup as a starter and they were both very good. I ordered the venison stew with... Everything about our lunch here was great! The service was friendly. The food was very good, generous portions and inexpensive. We each had the cabbage soup and shared a plate of pickled camembert. I liked the camembert so much that I asked the server how it was prepared. He explained the process thoroughly. The atmosphere was perfect for a chilly... More

We came across this small and charming restaurant whilst traversing the cold streets of Bratislava one November evening. It is tucked away, almost as if it does not want to be found. We are very glad that we did! We were very glad we found it. The food was simple but delicious! I wholeheartedly recommend the onion soup and dumplings.... More

Visited two years ago, wholeheartedly recommend the pork dishes here - they're the best I had in Bratislava. Romantic, candlelit and intimate - a real find.

We went with a large group of 12 and had great service even with our side. Had the chicken jose that reminded me of my childhood and had to recreate at home. Good wine suggestions as well. Location is like a wine cellar, cosy in winter.

It's not really on the main path but you can easily find this gem on one of the side streets in the old town. We picked main courses from their selection of Slovakian dishes and were not disappointed. Prices were fair and this is definitely a go to place for a bite to eat while in the old town!
