Quite nice experience this restaurant. Location of the restaurant was excellent as it was situated right in the centre of the Old Town. The restaurant was full when we arrived, but it took no time to get a table, very nice table even. Atmosphere was cosy and peaceful, even though it was a busy evening. Decor was a bit medieval... When we managed to locate the restaurant (it's tucked away through a corridor off a side street off one of the main stretches in the old town) we were pleasantly surprised at the cosy space and friendly service. The food was also very good, with this being my first place trying the local dish of sheeps' cheese gnocchi (good). There's... More

This was our first night in Bratislava and we wanted something Slovakian and near our hotel and Prasna Basta was literally right around the corner. We requested and received a table in their back court yard and with the assistance of our waiter chose a Slovakian wine and ordered our dinners. I had the schnitzel with red cabbage and my... More

Nice selection of meats. Drink selections very standard but fine enough. Got seated immediately, served immediately and the food came very quick! The hosts English was also fab too so that helped a lot.

At the end of a dark little passage, led by the light of their gate, you cross a tiny court, you penetrate deep into a building and voilà! you are there. About ten tables or so, a bar, nice decoration, some art, cute and colourful leaded glass windows helping in having an intimate ambiance. Food: there is some room for... More

The service was a little slow but it was well worth it, the ambience the food and the kindness of the waiter was well worth the wait. Outstanding was the duck with the bread dumbling and the red cabbage, also the onion soup was really lovely. When you review a restaurant you always need to keep in mind the price... More

Prasna Basta is hidden away on a back street of the Old Town in Bratislava and has a wonderful atmosphere with its arches and stone architecture. We sat in the courtyard for our dinner and the service was outstanding. I had a smoked trout with apples and a horseradish sauce followed by a wienerschnitzel with perfectly cooked new potatoes and... More

A small restaurant in a cellar. The site is special. You have to walk some (almost) empty streets before you get there, even if it is in the centre of the Old town. One get the feeling you have left the touristic streets with poor schnitzels with pommes frites. This is not a fancy or stylish place, but still a... More

This is a very nice place to have an evening meal once you can find it. I went here based on the reviews from tripadvisor and it lived up to its billing as a good place to eat at a reasonable price.
