We arrived early and on a quiet Tuesday evening so had a lot of personal attention by Mr. Bausz, owner and manager of the place, and apparently known as a expert of the better Hungarian wines. We ordered seasonal dishes (recommend the selection of local appetizers!), goose broth, deer steaks with chestnuts on a bed of polenta and entrusted Mr... More

Quite lovely place. Nice food and friendly athmosphera in a family restaurant. The owner was kind and polite. 100% recommended.

We checked several guest evaluations on Sopron hotels and the rating of "Vadászkürt Panzió" was impressive. But it was the menu which gave us the real push to come here. The ratings on accomodation and on the restaurant are not exaggerating. Everything is about and for the guests in terms of hospitality. And when you feel yourself at home in... More

We spent our 6 days vacation here. The room was clean, well designed, had a good athmosphere and it was pretty large. The food was fantastic, the chef made delicious and diversified breakfasts. It was a pleasure to spend our spare time here. Thank you for our hosts and please continue this good piece of work! Very well done!

Lovely genuine food, great local wines and a very hospitable couple who run the place. Bratislava is short of such restaurants and this one is a gem.

We had to wait 1,5 hours to be served, this was totally unacceptable. We almost left before the food arrived due to this coincidence. The food was average and so was the service.

I have to admit, we have picked the Vadaszkurt (The Huntsman's Horn) for the wines. Sopron is one of the perhaps lesser known wine regions of Hungary and Mr Bausz has the reputation of being one of the foremost promoters in the Sopron of the local wines. He did not disappoint! In the matter of one dinner (sadly, we had... More

On the opposite side of the railroad tracks from the center of town, no one visiting Sopron should miss the opportunity to dine here. My wife and I were treated to an excellent dining experience - great food, accompanied by several different local wines. When we arrived, the restaurant was very busy with a large group of locals. Yet, the... More
