Wonderful meat dishes, beautifully cooked in a charming restaurant with either outside, terraced tables overlooking the vineyards or cosy inside tables. Not the place to go if you are vegetarian! The goose breast wrapped around fresh pear slices was one of the tastiest starters I have ever had and the wild deer was sublime - as was the wild boar... More

Visited the place based on the recomendation of our hotel's owner. We found delicious, freshly made dishes on the hillside, with familiar, cheerful and chatty staff!

Visitng Heviz? At the end of a rough path lined with working vineyards and wine cellars lies Oreg Harang (the Old Bell). It is so worth the walk from the unpaved parking area. You can eat indoors but we sat outside for a casual private anniversary dinner. The owner brings you a blackboard with little cartoons of various animals (cow,... More

We arrived pretty late (8.30pm) and the waiter wasn't too happy to have new hungry customers. We checked the specials menu and have opted for water buffalo and goat. We had local wine with that. The cook took its time, but then we were served delicously looking plates with our meat and wild-garlic potatoe, "dodole", "polenta" and other side-dishes. Everything... More

We would have visited this restaurant but disappointedly it was closed every time so ended up going elsewhere. Perhaps a little more info in the website or even at a door regarding winter opening hours wouldn't go a miss.

A bit hard to find but worth it. Hungarian cuisine at its best, not the usual crap you get under the moniker. Fresh and sometimes exotic ingredients (mouflon, water buffalo, etc), prepared with great skill. If you speak Hungarian, the owner will charm you.

It's delicious and special foods. I did not like the service. The waiter has not behaved very well. The environment is beautiful and peaceful. Expensive place. The quick arrival gps recommended.

Food was delicious, great surrandings -all nature around. We had to wait a bit, but it was worthy. The base menu is quite short, but they have every day a lot of specials.

At the end of the street continue down the track past the other restaurants up where the lane turns you will see this one sign posted.Walk up the path and just behind the trees you will find the restaurant, plenty of outside seating for warm evenings but the inside looked cosy for cooler weather. The waiter spoke some English and... More

This restaurant is set in a great location down a rough track deep in the country with a tiny 13th Century church above it. When you finally arrive it is just a house with a few tables packed into a front room. There is a menu available in most languages but not English (yet). There is also a blackboard on... More
