Food heaven!

Me and my partner had an excellent dinner at this great little restaurant. The food was absolutely fantastic! They serve a variety of excellent Hungarian/Slovak/Austrian dishes. The goulash and the mushrooms/cheese/pork medallions were gorgeous! Also the Hungarian wine that they served was lovely... read more

Our private tour guide took us here for lunch and the food was outstanding. We have been in the Budapest area for 5 days, and eaten in several Hungarian restaurants. This was one of my favorites, and THE. Favorite of my friend who said it was her best meal of the week. The soups are wonderful. She ordered the baking... More

Inspired by Tripadvisor reviews we decided to visit this restaurant. Oh, what a big disappoitment. Staff was quite rude, slow and ignorant. Food was even worse. Quality of the fish soup was totally over. Mains a bit better but surelly not what you expect for their prices. After this visit we had several days stomach problems.

Impolite staff expensive for the region Food quality is lacking We asked for tap water, the waiter, who spoke perfect english, came back with two small (already open) mineral water bottles. When we complianed, he said that they are already open and we have to pay for them. The bottles were $1.5 for an 8oz bottle. They also had a... More

Not cheap, not expensive, and worth every cent! We were looking for a Vodafone shop for a Sim card and read the reviews on trip advisor and ended up here. The setting is nice. The location is nice. The food AND the service are wonderful. #24 is outstanding! !

On our way back to Budapest via Esztergom, we saw the restaurant on the left side of the road. Sitting is outdoor and the service is slow, because the food is prepared fresh. The portions are big and the only problem is what to eat. We were a party of eight including kids and everyone was happy. The Rakott Krumpli (potato... More

Well what can I say... We visited this restaurant five times in a two week holiday and we were living 30 miles away along the Danube. Perhaps this statement is review adequate? Nope, this restaurant surpasses ANY that I have experienced on all of my holidays across Europe. Our family group was mixed Hungarian and English and with mixed expectations... More

Lunch outside. We chose "sztrapacska" (Slovakian potato dumplings with pork and cottage cheese) and ox cheek stew with home made potato donuts (stew boiled for hours with red wine and different vegetables). This last one is highly recommended. Delicious masterpiece of the chef. Next table fish soup in traditional kettle was ordered, seemed remarkable as well. Waiter was polite despite... More

We wanted to have lunch to taste some Hungarian food, but I was really irritated by the behaviour of the staff. Outside it was full except for one long table; I entered to ask if we could seat there but although 3 waiters were standing few meters far from me and saw me at the door nobody get closer or...
