Be sure to book your place in advance, especially for the evening. Food is beyond praise, we have something to compare. We recommend ordering assorted venison, wild boar soup, and for dessert chocolate truffle. Wine for every taste. Live music. This dinner is still on my tongue.

Very friendly, wonderful food (venison), yummy chocolate sweet to die for and very good wines. The pianist had a very wide repertoire. Hope we may return one day!

Eating here reminds you of eating in a hunting lodge.....all kind of animals mounted on the wall...really neat in my opinion We started with the cabbage salad, the pickle plate (outstanding) and mixed salad. While my wife had the venison stew, I decided to have something I had never had before....pig knuckle with vegetables in a clay pot......this was outstanding...huge... More

We stopped here early in the evening to check out the menu and said we'd be back later. When we returned there was a special table with elegant candlesticks. The waiter was so helpful with wine and food. My mixed salad had an unusual dressing, very nice, and my Venison stew with cheesy potatoes was good and hearty. There was... More

Good food and good wine. Cute musician in the background and friendly waiters. Special atmosphere with hunting decoration. Definitely recommended to visit! :)

The restaurant is decored in "hunter's house", quite interesting, but a bit over the top (like most restaurants in Hungary). The rest- food, service, music and atmosphere are exellent. There are wild dears, hogs, etc. on menue, not just usual pork and beef. Had two times dinner there- we were both completely sold with my missus. The most surprising part was actually a... More

It was rated top end in the Lonely Planet so at first we tried to go to 'cheaper'restaurants but the menus of the mid-range recommendations were not that appealing so we went for the splurge and actually the prices at Feherszarvas were quite reasonable for such a good restaurant. $40 per person for a cold starter (goose liver and old... I went here with some friends for a birthday while holidaying , we had a great time it was mid week and empty , but the staff looked after us very well and the entertainment was even good , the food was impressive and tasty . However although I enjoyed the decor , it could be construed as a bit... More

We went to this restaurant after reading a review on the internet and it's true: best restaurant we went during or holidays! The decor is a little overwhelming, but the ambiance was great. We were the only couple during the entire evening and had the luck that there was live piano music. Speaking of romance... :-) The food was really... More

We had a five-course New Year's Eve menu with cocktails at this superb restaurant. Exceptionally fine food, great selection of Hungarian wines, impeccable service and meticulous attention to every detail, plus live music. Entertainment for all the senses. Last but not least, excellent value for money, where can you have all this for 40 EUR per person?
