Good food but not cheap

Nice restaurant, traditional style. Good food and interesting wine list. Careful service. Not really cheap compared to Hungarian standards.

I was with a brazilian friend and I wanted to take him to a traditional hungarian restaurant so I looked on tripadvisor and decided to go here. The interior is like the trophy room of a hunter. The service was professional and friendly. I had bikaver which is a very good hungarian red wine from this city and the "csulok"... More

We had a large group of people here for dinner, to celebrate a family occasion. Locals and people from overseas, about 20 to 25 people. The rice was undercooked, the meal was tasteless. Numerous other people commented from our group how surprisingly poor was the service and the meal. If it was average, fine, but this was below average. I... More

I ate here with my family today. The restaurant looks fantastic pretty cool but the food we ate was not the best at all. And the menu isn't too big in my oppinion.

Be sure to book your place in advance, especially for the evening. Food is beyond praise, we have something to compare. We recommend ordering assorted venison, wild boar soup, and for dessert chocolate truffle. Wine for every taste. Live music. This dinner is still on my tongue.

Very friendly, wonderful food (venison), yummy chocolate sweet to die for and very good wines. The pianist had a very wide repertoire. Hope we may return one day!

Eating here reminds you of eating in a hunting lodge.....all kind of animals mounted on the wall...really neat in my opinion We started with the cabbage salad, the pickle plate (outstanding) and mixed salad. While my wife had the venison stew, I decided to have something I had never had before....pig knuckle with vegetables in a clay pot......this was outstanding...huge... More

We stopped here early in the evening to check out the menu and said we'd be back later. When we returned there was a special table with elegant candlesticks. The waiter was so helpful with wine and food. My mixed salad had an unusual dressing, very nice, and my Venison stew with cheesy potatoes was good and hearty. There was... More
