Tarnished sweet shop with upper middle class products and service

Antique and smart interior, nice and tasty cakes, professional service (water is served both for the coffes and cakes automatically although it is very rare now unfortunately). Quite expensive.

We visited Eger with my wife and family (my parents and sister with her husband) and decided to try out Dobos after lunch. Biggest disappontment ever. The waitress was so rude that we almost instantly left the place however we sat down and decided to drink a coffee and have a cake. Me and my wife and sister wanted to... More

This place has the potential to be the best cafe/patisserie in Eger. Its settings are amazing, it has a real 19th century atmosphere with red marble and stained glass decorations. Their ice creams and coffees are also good. Therefore I don't understand why the quality of their cakes has to be so bad... We tried a few of their cakes... More

Had ice coffee here, so limited experience. The coffee was good, the waiters all very young (summer jobs?) and inexperienced. The place is surprisingly nice on the inside, but we only discovered this as we left.

The place has a unique atmosphere, feels like you went back to the 1800s. The crew is extremly kind and polite, it is ideal for ceremonial events.

The shop is on the main walking street (Széchenyi), close to the bishop's palace. I was glad to see the Tripadvisor logo on the entrance door. :-) I was a bit disappointed when I saw that the take away prices are much lower than eating in the confectionery. The inside room is really nice. Everything was fresh when we were... More
