Great ceilings

Great walls/ceilings as you can see from the many photos. Away from the main eating area there is an opening inner space with many features that are great for selfies if that's your thing. Table upstairs are reserved for hotel guests but to be honest they are small and I prefer the larger ones... read more

Lovely food that is a bit more expensive than the rest of Budapest(which is not difficult) but cheap by London standards. Stunning surroundings a must to go

This place is out of this world. Once you get in you move to a different era. It looks like a restored palace, really spacious and elegant and with live piano music. We ordered Coffee and Desserts. The coffee was really good, the desserts not so much. Not bad but ok! The whole purpose of visiting this cafe is for... More

While visiting Budapest on my honeymoon, my husband and I decided to have breakfast at the New York Cafe. Wow, the interior is amazing, very clean and spacious with lovely attentive wait staff. We ordered the buffet breakfast and walked down the staircase to sample the fresh food available. They had an amazing array of food available from smoked salmon... More

I have heard so much about this cafe that my wife insisted that we must visit this place otherwise the trip to Budapest will not be complete. Indeed this place is beautiful as beautiful as a palace... We just couldn't resist ourselves from taking pictures from every and any angles from where we were seated. This looks awkward but then....... More

When you enter in this cafe you feel like you are inside a palace! Well-dressed waiters and waitresses and the atmosphere is perfect! You feel like a king! New York Cafe is a bit expensive but this is expected inside such a high class cafe! Totally worth the money!

You can enjoy full meals or coffee only in this very luxurious place. A bit pricey compared to other places in Budapest but still reasonable with great services.

I have never given a 2 star review before and this would have only gotten 1 if my girlfriend hadn't loved the building. Went for a treat whilst on beautiful Budapest and was sorely disappointed. Coffee, an ice tea and a cake were 7500 Florints, getting on for £20 sterling, crazy for Budapest standards. The coffee tasted like instant and... More

Amazing decor, wonderful to sit and admire- you can imagine how it inspired so many artists. Food was wonderful- especially the desserts and cocktail. A bit pricey but well worth it as a treat.
