This is a beautiful cafe, come in for a cup of coffee. Can't really recommend the food though, it was bland and overpriced. I would try coffee or desert and eat a meal elsewhere

This place has history and atmosphere. You really feel like you are in a European café. Food and service was great. A real find. For an informal meal or coffee and pastry this is the place to be.

A friend was suggesting me to visit this restaurant when I go to Budapest. She said that the interior decoration is amazing. And....it's done. I went there in May 2014 for lunch. I come inside, make a reservation for myself, and they give me a small place in a corner near entry door, I'm pretty sure because I wear 2... More

Had lunch with a friend after reading about this place in a guidebook. We were not disappointed. Had amazing pasta dishes, cooked al dente! Also had amazing non alcoholic cocktails which were amazing!! The cakes and desserts going out were most impressive. We were disappointed not to be able to have any as we were too full after lunch, so... More

Went here for a good friend's birthday. We picked the seven taster menu which included the wine for each selection. The service was second to none and couldn't fault anything! They went out of their way to make our friend's birthday special and can't thank them enough! Definitely would go back. Seriously the best service we have ever had!

Rows of statues of Pan lure you into this garden of earthly delights, and once in you are transported to a world of seeming privilege and pristine elegance. It is little wonder that this is considered on of the most beautiful cafés in Budapest, if not the world. We merely went in to have a cup of tea and see... More

My family went to this cafe for the experience that can never be found in Asia. Grandeur and and majestic are understatements which describe this place. I felt like drinking coffee back during the Classical period except there was no classical music accompaniment. The interior was beyond words, and it was indeed a privilege to be have coffee and cakes... More

We were on a day trip to Budapest, and the hop on hop off bus stopped just outside. We went in because I was very interested to see the inside, and were not disappointed. It is very beautiful, and has a whole page in the menu dedicated to hot chocolates, it was difficult to chose which one, and then which... More

We went to the much-touted New York Café in the Boscolo Hotel, a former palace. On the outside walls of the café there are about a dozen statues of the satyr Pan. But the inside of the café is absolutely splendid. The baroque paintings and the carved mythological figures surrounding them are elegant with an aristocratic air. There was someone... More

Wandered in here by mistake, wearing tee shirts, football shirts and shorts and sat open-mouthed at the décor. Everyone else looked like they were made of money but we were treated with real respect by the staff. Had coffee and cake. All excellent except for the melange coffee, weak and sweet - not my 'cup of tea'. Very reasonably priced,... More
