This looks like a very nicde palace. Unfortunately the serbice levels xannot keep up with the local athosphere. The waiter was running around like a chicken without head and the food took 40 minutes to come to the table.

The waiters were charming and all that we ordered, from the steak to the desserts were delicious! We wished we could have been placed in the downstairs restaurant, but having said that, our table at the back of the restaurant upstairs was still lovely.

We have never seen such fantastic decor in our lives! The cakes were phenomenal too, we ordered the Hungarian cake selection and the New York cake selection between three of us to share. Our aim was to try as many cakes as possible! The only reason we gave it 4 stars was because it took a long time for the... More

Wow. The New York Café is an absolute must whilst in Budapest, although I can imagine your food would sit untouched as you stare up and around in awe. We didn't eat here so I can't comment on the food but we celebrated with birthday cocktails which were very good - and although it's certainly not cheap, I'd say it's... More

Brilliant - beautiful setting, marble, mirrors and baroque ceilings and wall murals. A lovely place to partake of breakfast or tea, you could imagine yourself dining with the nobility of years gone by. Not expensive either.

Wendy had read we must visit here when in Budapest - and she was right. The café décor is spell-binding, the service attentive and the iced coffee with crème brulee flavour I had was the best ever!, Wendy said her iced coffee was amazing and the cheesecake good [but not quite as good as Carnegies in New York city!]. This... More

Definitely worth a visit! However very expensive, they asked us if we would like water and brought us 2 small bottles which were not the cheapest on the menu and cost about £6! Food was nice and cocktails nice too!

Decided to come here after being told about it on the Hop on Hop off bus.We walked from the Central Market Hall and decided to have a drink inside on arriving as we both needed a comfort break! We were able to get a seat straight away and were shown to a table by a lovely hostess who then gave... More

One of the big attractions on the city bus tours, this coffee house dates back to the late 19 the century, but has been refurbished to its former glory. Well worth a visit.

Okay I see people complaining about its prices which it was kind of overrated! To be honest for its environment, history and quality of desserts/coffee I was expecting such prices. But it was a must and worth-visiting cafe for the experience!
