Good food but very expensive

Had a 2 course in the restaurant together with 6 girlfriends. The food was great and we got a "surprise" dessert in addition to the courses we paid for but in my mind the prices are too high keeping in mind the price level in Budapest. Would rather try one of the Michelin restaurants than to go... read more

They have 2 places. The restaurant and the osteria. This review is about the Ristorante. Very nice atmosphere with a good, professional and friendly service. They have some nice Italian wines on the list at more or less affordable prices. The food was refined but way to expensive. Had a marinated tuna with shrimps and ginger mayonnaise...fine but nothing spectacular.... More

Enjoyable experience in Budapest. Hungary has some tasty wines, and we were able to sample many here. The restaurant is located inside Castle Hill on the Buda side. It creates a lovely (if chilly) ambience. Gabor Nagy was our sommelier and he took us on a delightful journey through Hungary's various wine regions. When visiting Budapest, make time (and reservations)... More

Almost walked past! This place has lovely relaxed surroundings and atmosphere. You can choose between fine dining and bistro. We chose bistro. Service is SO attentive! We had 3 courses plus lots of house wine. Prices comparable to UK. Well, food would have been cheap but amount of wine bumped bill up. Would highly recommend if not on a budget.

we were immediately sold by fausto's interiour when passing by during the day. We went back at dinner time and did not regret. Very friendly waiters, very good wine (we asked for advise for a red hungarian wine and were recommended one that did fit well with our course - not a standard wine they recommend at every table, as... No doubts that their food is delicious. The staff is very attentive and the service is great. My one complaint is that it is a little too "gourmet" in my opinion. Italians usually serve big portions for everything. Don't go there thinking that only a primi or secondi piatti will be enough, because their portions are small, so that makes... More

One of the best restaurant in Budapest, maybe the best italian. Very kindly staff, perfect wine list. Very recommended the fish dishes. Good atmosphere.

I am a truffle addict and was looking for a nice place serving fresh truffle: this turned to be one of the best. I came twice and always with great quality of food. On the high end in terms of price. Will be back.

I visited this restaurant twice during my vacation in Budapest. And I would love to go there again and again. I loved each dish they served and the way they served!
