Organized a sit down meal for a large party. The restaurant was very accommodating, and did an outstanding job meeting our needs and providing a top quality dining experience. The only thing that surpassed the food was the really excellent service we (our party) received. I could not have been more pleased by the whole experience.

I had the beef fillet which gorgeous but my partner had crispy lamb which was only a very small meal, tiramisu was nice and so was creme brûlée! I would not got out of my way to visit but if you like small fancy food this is the ideal place you get what you pay for x

My husband and I were invited to this restaurant by German friends who used to live in Budapest. I cannot thank them enough for providing us the opportunity to know this magnificent place. I do not understand how come I have not discovered it earlier. We have been many in really superb and luxurious restaurants but the service I discovered... More

Put our faith in the hands of our waiter. He did not disappoint. First an exceptional ((and not most expensive on list!) Hungarian Cabernet Franc. First course tuna tartar, followed by a perfectly seared scallop, goose liver and mushroom ravioli, beef tenderloin and tiramisu with a lovely coffee gelato. I would never have ordered half of it, but it all... More

I have always enjoyed the food and service at Fausto's but in the new place they have upped their game a notch. I must admit that every dish in the tasting menu we've selected was just right. Loved the scampi tartar and the lamb at the end was outstanding. We had wine pairing with the menu and got some really... More

Fausto Osteria is the third of three restaurants I and my wife read about in the New York Times and decided to try while in Budapest. I have reviewed the other two - Café Bouchon and Zeller Bistro - very, very good restaurants, Bouchon slightly better, Zeller still being terrific. Fausto Osteria was very good as well and hard to... We visited Fausto's for St Valentine's day this year. I was a little late in booking a restaurant for the 14th but was very happy that Fausto's was still available. The price for the dinner for 2 people came to around £250. This was for 2 set menus, a bottle of wine and 2 glasses of prosecco, so quite pricey... More

The restaurant has a really cool, stylish feel to it and was quite relaxed despite the upmarket feel to it. The staff seemed knowledgable and were friendly and managed to fit us in at quite short notice Some of the dishes were quite adventurous, such as the duck liver creme brûlée, the presentation was great but the execution just didn't... This is Italian food. At its best. Traditional and creative at the same time. Have a look at the menu, if you prefer seafood or meat, but always ask the waiter for suggestions before taking a decision. I opted for seafood and had a delicious dinner, with salmon appetizer and tuna steak as main. Very good prosecco to start and... More

We visited it on our last day in budapest and it was a nice goodbye. We had the lunch special, bean soup and duck leg for 2900huf a person which is very cheap for the excellent food. We had a hungarian wine with it, absolutely delicious, so much that we asked for more details so we could find a comparable... More
