Great service, smily staff, concise menu. All so good. The staff was so knowledgeable, they recommended to us some grest dishes. Be careful do not fill up on the great bread, as the dishes are very good. I would recommend to keep some place for the dessert. The house wine is very good, both white and red.

We went here twice during our stay in Budapest. Both times it could not be faulted - staff, food (fusion), menu, and atmosphere. Not cheap, but not expensive either. Best restaurant for us in Budapest.

Booked last minute after walking past the restaurant. Meal was great, service brilliant, wine I asked for a recommendation and wasn't disappointed. This was a really good meal and I had to make up for a bit of a disappointment earlier at the New York café! This was such a good experience and we both loved the place. This is... More

This is an elegant restaurant with good service and a really nice menu. I had the tuna carpaccio followed by the venison, goose liver and purple potato special and my friend had the veal. Superbly cooked. Nice Hungarian wine selection too.

From the first moment till the last was it a great evening in Fausto. The service is professional and understated. The food was delicious, a carneval of tastes:)

As a food snob and restauranter based out of arguably the greatest food capital in the world (New York City), I'm pretty difficult to please when I go to new restauants. Many are good or mediocre, but few give me the "WOW" factor. Fausto's gave me that "WOW" factor. I had heard Faustos was incredible before I went to Budapest,... More

Many reviews have been posted about the food and ambience. Both would not be out of place in San Francisco or New York but the one thing that sets it apart from most others is the service. Understated, professional, attentive and knowledgable and the one thing missing is someone clearing plates before all diners are finished and someone standing over... More

We have been coming to Fausto's for several years now (at both its current and previous premises) and dined here again two weeks ago to celebrate my birthday. Fausto's remains very comfortably our favourite restaurant in Budapest - and we have been to quite a few. Admittedly, we haven't yet tried either of the two Michelin-starred restaurants in the city... More

My wife and I ate here on one of the nights of our mini-moon, and had booked on the back of some reviews we’d read online. Fausto’s says that it “offers classic Italian courses sprinkled with the latest arts of contemporary cuisine” and I think on the whole this is what we experienced. The restaurant was light and airy with... More

The soup of the day was Pasta Fagoli - oh my, what a start to a fabulous meal. We ate in the Osteria part of the restaurant, where you can order off both the Osteria menu and the fine dining menu. We were very casually dressed for the evening so we chose the Osteria. Deer ragout tagliatelle and whole fish... More
