Great bar, nice atmosphere and bar food

We only had bar food as we werent that hungry, so had quesadillas and wine and beer. Had lovely Furmint wine which was recommended by waiter, and then beer, which is so cheap compared to uk. The candles on the tables made it very atmopsheric, we had planned to go to another cafe nearby which was... read more

A late night visit on a cold night turned out to be an absolute winner. Speedy excellent service with advice you can rely on, in immaculte English. Vast wine list of Hungarian wines and most other drinks you can think of. In addition to a few (very good indeed) Hungarian dishes, the menu could have come from a gastro pub... More

I like Jelen much more than Most. Although the location is not the most optimal, the atmosphere of Jelen is much nicer. I love the setting and the more low beat, not so exclusivist feel of it. The wine selection is very good, and the bar snacks are also very good. The staff is very friendly. Overall a nice chill... More

A Hungarian work colleague dropped me of here on his way home, first impression was cool place, the beer menu was very good, and they had a large selection of spirits at the bar. I enjoyed a few selections of wheat beer then had some traditional Hungarian food, Paprika Chicken and their kind of pasta stuff, with a delicious salad.... More

We liked the laid-back Sunday brunch. The service was quick and efficient. This place is famous amongst the locals, and we could see why. The atmosphere is young and spacious. Between the three of us, only I had the bad luck of having bland and tasteless food, while my companions had good food! Hence the 4 stars !

This bar/restaurant has a great interior with so much space. I've just been on a Thursday evening at 8:30 it was so busy. Seems very popular with large groups of friends. Had an extensive drinks menu and a broad array of different foods. I had a Philly Cheesesteak, which was excellent. Nice helpful staff and good background music. Not the... More

We were recommended the Jelen bar by the guide on our " free-walking" tour. She was right to tell us about this bar. Great beer, good bar food & fine service, what more do you need at the end of a long walk around a beautiful city. This was so handy as we were staying at The Nemzeti, which. Is... More

We went to this place twice, two different days. The menu booklets are weird. There are few of them where as they could have been in one book. English menu book you get by requesting. Wifi password is changed quite often and you can ask for it too. At first day, food was really good and came fast. Second day... More

try the pleskavica, one of my favorites here. central location, and not in Gozsdu udvar, really refreshing, you can sit inside or outside, I would recommend a Sunday lunch here where you can just enjoy the place and the music... of course, nice parties on the weekend
