Great position

You can see over the square and take it easy. The service is good, and thay ask you often if there is something more you need. I took a beer and smoked a pipe.

I'm not picky when it comes to food, but I like to be greeted when I walk into a restaurant, which was not done, and the turkish meze were served with white bread... Which was pretty odd. I also tried the cappuccino, which was beyond subpar.

Very friendly staff, cheap, not spectacular but not amazing food. Really good place close to the main attraction. Recommend

We visited this restaurant today due to the proximity to our tourist bus. We were greeted with smiles and given menus. We were there for about 4 mins then we asked could we order. There were three waitresses there and the woman rudely said wait please and turned back to her computer. It all went down hill from there! We... More

Fantastic location overlooking Heroes Square. Unfortunately that's the last chance to use the word fantastic in this review.Word of warning, there are 'No smoking' signs outside but the majority of customers (during our visit) were smoking Shisa pipes provided by the cafe. The staff were friendly enough but the service was extremely slow. Overall nothing special.

Looks better than it really is. We went there for coffee for it was the nearest place to where we were staying, but the service is slow, only one of 5 waitress had a smile on her face (all 4 days we were there). We only tried cakes and coffe, it was OK, but nothing I'd recommend. If you mind... More

We stopped by Kara on our way to the Szechenyi Bath, as we needed something to eat beforehand. (This seems to be a common story, and how the café gets a lot of its customers.) Wish we would have stopped somewhere else, for example at one of the cafés or restaurants at the other end of Andrássy Avenue. We sat... More

Close to the heroes square, on Andreasy avenue, with a terrace, you can relax and eat very good salads. Il you enjoy the turkish water pipe, you may spend some few more hours in a peaceful atmosphere!

We were in Heroes Square on our way to the Szechenyi Bath and decided we wanted to grab a bite to eat before the Baths. We saw the Cafe Kara and thought to give it a try. What a delightful surprise! The restaurant serves delicious Turkish food, mostly assorted sandwiches and salads ~ hookahs are also available. We ordered sandwiches... More
