I took my Canadian friends for dinner to this place. The server was very nice, food delicious and we truly enjoyed the peacefulness of the inner yard. Their house wine was surprisingly good! This place is very private. Other people will not have a chance to see what you have just ordered. It is not a touristy restaurant. We were... More

During a walking tour we were directed here for lunch and was not disappointed. In the Bupa castle district, it was not only a great location but had a lovely courtyard out the back where ate in the sunshine. We ordered a traditional meal of Goulash, Paprika Chicken with Nokedli-Spatzle (Hungarian noodles), Gundel Palacsinta Csokoládéöntettel (Chocolate-covered pancakes with a walnut... More

We stumbled across this restaurant having got the funicular railway up from river level - warm evening, tables in a lovely courtyard. As well as a la carte, there was a choice of two menus either with or without wine. We chose menus with wine, and there was a different glass with each course - food was very good indeed,... More

We had high hopes for this restaurant as we had seen a lot of reviews. The waiter was very good, no problems there. Then came the food, maybe it was just we expected more but it was just bland and un-inviting. Wouldn't recommend. On return to our hotel, the concierge told us that the food is very hit and miss... This cafe is hidden in a courtyard near the Castle but it is well worth finding it. The food was simply amazing and was very good value for money. The service was very friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

Over average is the name of the game in this restaurant. The food is tasty and various. The serving is friendly and professional. The dining halls have style as the whole building. Just the prices are average. The only obstacle is the bathroom: useable only for S or M sizes wearing persons!

The Fois Gras starter came with a generous amount of fois gras and had a perfectly built salad around it to complement the protein. Dates, hazelnuts and lamb lettuce were great with a slightly sweet dressing that was a great dish.

I loved this restaurant in the Buda castle district. The hospitality from the staff was wonderful. They seemed genuinely interested in attending to my needs. The waiter was outstanding and the prices were most reasonable. Furthermore, the ambience was great - I sat in the courtyard and it was very calm and peaceful. I highly recommend this place.

We went to the Rivalda for dinner after a long day in Buda Castle area. We were pretty early and were received very friendly and immediately seated. The service was attentive and friendly, the food was good and the proposed wine was totally superb - everyone liked it very much. Prices were fair compared to what you receive. The restaurant...
