I was visiting a friend in Budapest with my kids who are college students. This hip spot was recommended by his daughter who is a grad student there and who met us for dinner. The menu was a mix of traditional dishes and vegetarian options in a relaxed atmosphere with a happy and animated crowd. The dishes were flavorful and... More

The dishes varies a lot. My pita with paste was good but my wife's pasta was the worst food she has had. Our friends liked it a lot.

I happened upon Castro on my first night in Budapest and went back twice more by the end of my stay. The food is simple, local dishes, well cooked and unfussily presented. It is excellent value and the decor is as quirky and grungy as you could hope a bistro named after a Cuban revolutionary to be. The mojitos were... More

I highly recommend this place as it is very versatile, ideal for chill out coffee/lunch/work during daytime and gets busier after 6pm. Sitting outside is great in summer, but bigger groups are also welcome inside. Dogs are welcome and you can sit over a coffee and your laptop during the daytime, wifi is great too. The food has some typical... More

I got this restaurant recommendation from my neighbor. The place is in the little corner in the city center but not so easy to find. The atmosphere is kind of a café place after an art cinema. I wasn't sure what to expect..What a great surprise! I love fish and chips and I was quiet curious what I will get... More

The restaurant is poorly located in the city, with Taxi drivers and Locals unaware of its location. When we eventually found the restaurant we were not greeted upon entry and had to make our way to the bar to get a table, to which the host seemed annoyed. When we were seated the waitress came over and took our drink... More
