Very different

A friend and I decided to try this place out.......interesting atmosphere....festive dining hall....large portions....good food....some entertainment. ...not a bad night......could use a bit more entertaining but otherwise a fun time.

This is not fine dining it's fun dining, with large portions of quality food. Ok it's a tourist thing, but if your a group looking for a fun night this is the place to go. You have it all here, large menu, drinks and a medieval show, you may even end up standing on the tables. Want a fun night... More

Our friends had been here before and had reserved our table well in advance, which was good. The restaurant was crowded. We had a set meal with lots of good food, more than we could eat. Half of it would have been more than enough. Music and entertainment during the meal. Staff and some of the guests had special clothes... More

Great gimmick, nice idea for a restaurant, the food wasn't stunning and the price was a bit high. But still nice place to visit once

Although Meat-City does not sound like an inviting title, I would definitely invite everyone to try this restaurant. It might be hard to find, laying in a basement of an ordinary building, but when you enter Sir Lancelot Knight's you feel like walking around in a castle. Beer served from pottery tankards, the smell of good grilled meat. Top this... More

This is a fun place to eat, with good food, good wine, big(!) portions. During the evening, there are various attractions, such as swordsplay, firedancing, firebreathing. The swordsplay was acted out both in Hungarian and in English, which I found a nice touch.

It is very different from anything I've visited in Budapest, it is so medieval, you have shows all the time, it is so entertaining. You share tables with strangers, what it is not a problem for me. There are no forks to use, you eat like a medieval. The food is typical!! Amazing place!!!

Underneath in the underground gallery's of Budapest, a medieval restaurant with good food, all the staff dressed in medieval costumes , with spectacles to entertain you, good for groups of people as they are tables of 8 otherwise you share a table, which can also be good to meet others. Even out of season it was very busy, so strongly... More
