The restaurant is a great place, however not the food is the most intresting but the show, which is really good and even funny. I suggest to visit this place while you spend an evening in Budapest.

Be prepared for knights, exotic dancers, fire-eaters and more, right at your table. The medieval atmosphere is backed up by the waiters who call you "my lady" or "sir" and in the same time make you eat with your hands as there are no forks :) Be careful not to bite your fingers as the food is that great!

Budapest has so many quality restaurants that it was not easy to pick only a few (since we had a short stay). Based on the reviews and restaurant home page, I chose this one and did not regret it. We got a table downstairs that is the "main place" of the events. There was live music played by a "Medieval"... More

Good effort for a medieval approach of the decoration, the costumes of the staff and some events. However, the service was rather impersonal. The food was average and overrated, the events and the show were nothing special and so predictable (nothing close to what was advertised about) and there was always a feeling of a hurry: we had to complete... We went back there after 5-6 years with great expectations...this time the restaurant was so crowded that we only got a table at 2nd floor. From there you have no view over the events downstairs so if you make a reservation there ask not to go on 2nd floor. Food is average, yes, lot of food, nicely arranged on the... More

My wife and I made reservation to the restaurant after receiving recommendation from friends. We were seated in the second floor from which one cannot see all the special shows for which the restaurant is famous for. The food was good but not worth paying 3X the regular dinner price.

Really good idea, the entire atmosphere bring to you in the Middle Ages. All dishes are proposed in particular plates and served without cutlery...you can have just a spoon for your soup. We appreciated the goulash soup and a great dish of grilled meat. Raccomanded

Absolutely perfect! You cannot visit Budapest without dropping by the Sir Lancelot Rest. It was one of the most spectacular outings in Budapest. Delicious food, amazing staff, fun atmosphere with live shows! All in all, a great experience.

I've been here last month with a friend during a weekend in Budapest and this is the best place to eat I've tried (we've been here twice in just 3 days). There's a large variety of meals made of meat (if you like it) and you have to eat with your hands, respecting medioeval traditions (no forks provided). I absolutely... More
