Great atmosphere, nice big dishes

We went for a birthday of a friend, arrived at about 18:00 without ordering first and went down to the dungeon there we were greeted by the knights. We had a great time, first we had to discover what the menu say because it's in some kind of riddles. The dishes were big and tasty and we were... read more

A group of 6 visited on Mon night and we expected it to be a little quiet. Our booking was for 730pm but by 8pm the restaurant was packed full hence the service was on the slow side although the waiter was friendly and helpful. Food was good, loads of meat so if you are a vegetarian you probably best... More

Touristy tacky. Not great show. Not central location. Just a tourist trap. Food average. More "mediveial" style than Hungarian. Tries to recapture an eating experience from the medievial times. Not great! Not what you seek in the city centre of Budapest. Maybe out on a castle in the countryside if well done. But here it wasn´t even well done. Just... More

Food is average, not tasty. Though portions are big. Goulyash was not of a rich taste. Chichen breast was too dry to be eaten. Life of knights at that time was not easy, as you see on the walls of the restaurant, and tase from your plate.

The atmosphere and decoration are special-Roman mid-aged, waiters are dressed nice. Serving food is special, looks like ancient feasts. Service was good and quick. Belly dancers and other entertainers gives a party atmosphere. However, food is average, no more. We took the big plate for 4 person, which contains a lot of food. Prices are high relatively to Budapest restaurants.

I would highly recommend this restaurant mostly for the experience although the food is also good. No way you can go to Budapest and not visit this restaurant. The whole concept is nice and will definitely give you a night to remember (although all of your clothes will be smelling from the smokes, etc). Most of the dishes are also... More

Thid place is worth a visit in Budapest. The food is okay, but fun with show and a different restaurant from the others in Budapest.

The show started at 20:30 although by phone they told me to come at 7 pm for the show. Until 22:00 there were only 3 small shows, 5 mins each one. Expensive. They include tip in the bill.

As part of a large group of friends we spent our last night in Budapest in this restaurant. We ordered multiples of the platter for 6 or 4 which were divided evenly on our table. They looked most impressive, with a preponderence of meat of all kinds, which was to be eaten with ones fingers. It was not easy to help... More
