We visited the restaurant because of the good review from TA. Although the restaurant is located in the basement, it wasn't difficult to find. We had two meals that cost us 3780 Ft. The food was tasty, but it would be great if it could be served warm as I personally like warm food.

Today we visited Govinda as we saw a lot of positive Feedback on TripAdvisor. We meet a friendly 'waitress' who explained us the different choices we have and she even recommended us a dish for two. The portion was huge, very delicious and had a good price, too. We strongly recommend Govinda to everyone who likes indish/vegetarian food. Govinda was... More

I'm a vegetarian and this place to me is most suitable. Very cheap and useful for health in the very center of Budapest.

It's decent enough with sometimes friendly, sometimes sort of aloof staff but this is not the place for outstanding veggie food. The pakoras are heavy and oily, there are daily casseroles that are hit or miss. The dal is often spicy or not. The portions are huge. You order what you see but they often don't ask what you want,... More

Great vegetarian hideaway in the basement, tall folks must bend down to go down the stairs. Inside you'll find a daily buffet of veggie choices, set daily platters for less than 1000 Florints, and other options. Stuff yourself if you choose for less than 2000 Florints. All served up by calm, efficient staff.

After searching specifically for veggie food in Budapest was very excited to find this place. It's a nice place in a good location with friendly staff. It's a buffet style with meal deal options at great value for big portions. Unfortunately our food was only luke warm and therefore disappointing. Bit off putting with minimally reheated rice and curries kept... More

Just visited once. Prime location, very affordable and more than all: tasty vegetarian food. Thanks to the love of ISKCON.

The food here is lovely. If you're expecting typical restaurant indian food then this is not the place. I am amazed by all Hare Krishna restaurant food always has the same great taste. Its homely and being of Indian origin I can honestly say its a great place to be. There is music in the background chanting Krishna's name, its... More

We are not vegetarian but do not eat meat - and this place (discovered on Tripadvisor) was perfect for an inexpensive and casual meal at the end of a days sightseeing. It's a basement restaurant with simple décor, where staff serve your choices from a buffet counter, which you then take to a table - it's not a fancy place,... More
