We went here Saturday for lunch. While the lunch menu is a steal at around $20 for three courses, we decided that we liked the 4 course menu better. The restaurant was very flexible on allowing us to order from the two prix fixe menus offered. We had two bottles of wine, two sparking water bottles, two four course meals... More

We've visited Csalogany 26 two times over the past two years, and, besides the fact that the food is really excellent and the service is great, very attentive and informative, the price tag for this place still astonishes me: 4 excellent courses with accompanying wine menu, for around 30 euro. No wonder the place has, rightfully, a rising star in... More

We tried the 8 course degustation menu and it was really amazing. I could not imagine, that anyone can prepare a gourmet course from fried chicken... They did it! Their homemade bread and butter is also delicious, which is good, because you need them if you don't want to remain hungry. The courses are quite small, but their taste compensates... More

A very pleasing degustation experience with good service and interesting wines. Although eight courses offered they are typically small and tasty - wines seem to be equal or dominant ranking in the presentation. Two menus on offer to choose from - and either can be four or eight courses. This is good stuff executed with proficiency if not passion and... More

I was here for dinner two years ago, and really enjoyed it. I just went back for lunch, and it was just as good as I remember! Their 3-course lunch for 2500 HUF is a steal considering the high quality of this restaurant.

This restaurant was on our list for Budapest as it had an Bib Gourmand designation and an interesting menu. We had the eight course menu (counting the sorbet as a course by the restaurant is a little weird so maybe seven would be more honest) and were impressed. The food and the wine pairings were excellent and the price even... More

A great place to have a dinner. Dosn't look of much from the outside, but the service is great, the food even better and a lot of great hungarian wines.. The 7 ( 8 ) courses are all great and excellent value for money.

I visited Budapest for 5 days, and I researched the restaurants before going. This was definitely the best meal we had. The waiters were polite and attentive, and the lunch menu was very good!

what can I say, this is perfect. We have had a nice romantic dinner here with my wife, the service, the food the wine were all perfect. Even the portions are not huge we didn't leave hungry. The recommended wines were amazing. The only small concern is the price, but this is not an average place. Go for it! and... More

We had a dinner there on friday - 12 people! We booked in advance, which is higly recomended, since the place is not that big... Few of us had the 8 course menu wih wines, other had 4 course menu, some with wines, some without, and had some beer - which is in my oppinion one of the few flaws... More
