Description: The Spoon as a restaurant boat is located in the central spot of Budapest-Hungary. This 75m engine less fine dining event and restaurant place is able to provide it's services in 365 days. From top it has two hugh terraces and an additional one with glass sided walls, the winter garden. On the middle level we have two different designed restaurants, we call them the "Cafe" wich is more like a real fine dining hall and the "Lounge", that is a luxury relax eating area. As an additional service we provide a night club in the bottom level, with direct access from the Lounge. It's design is about the arabican fantasy, it's called the "The Oriental". On each level we have a full kitchen, that makes the Spoon able to serve every type of event and customer in different timing and every season of the year. Our goal is to give high quality service to the corporate events, private parties and of course as the location the Sponn is right on the most wanted spot of Budapest, we are a must see restaurant.

We had looked at this restaurant in travel guides and walked in on a Monday night without reservations. We were given a table with a view of the river on request. We selected traditional Hungarian fare and were not disappointed. We had no prior experience with this cuisine and played it safe re: spiciness. Our waiter was fluent in English,... More

Stupendous view, great location, food was nicely prepared, bread was hard as a rock. Service was good until dinner was served but ended there, never asked if we wanted drink refills and it was a challenge getting the bill. No excuse since it was a Sunday night and there were only three other tables occupied. Made an on line reservation... More

First, let's say I am more a kind of farmer guy for food = I like it substantial, huge portions, potato, meet etc. As I saw the menu and the prices I was about to leave the restaurant (we are students) but thank god - my girlfriend made us stay! Which turned out into the best dinners I had in... More

We went here for a cocktail, purely becasue we'd read on countless websites and blogs that it was the perfect place to sit and watch the sunset. Located on a stationary boat along the river, we were really excited to watch and photograph the colours of the sky change as the sun went down, whilst enjoying a cocktail or two.... More

Visited spoon with friends during a trip to Budapest. Great fine dining experience, and from our experience very friendly and welcoming staff. Beautiful interior and calm atmosphere. The meals were well presented, and more importantly tasted delicious. Definitely worth a visit.

On the recommendation of our travel agent, we chose to have a pre dinner drink with thoughts to booking for dinner on our last night in Budapest. The views were excellent over the water and chain bridge but we felt somewhat obvious as the wait staff outnumbered clientele 4 to 1. The waiter attended to us immediately with a wine... More

Although this restaurant on the boat has got the best view on the chain bridge and the Buda castle, the result was a bit disappointing. Food is nothing remarkable, pretentiously modern in its serving but dull in its taste. Service was professional but slow and the wine list included only extremely pricey bottles. The bill was very expensive, I won't... More

Worth a visit but can be expensive. We only had a drink to soak up the atmosphere mid afternoon. A lot of staff around who were geared up for bigger spenders(tips) Nevertheless we enjoyed it in a relaxed atmosphere on the Danube!

Dear Guest! We are deeply saddened and shocked that you had to feel implied to that our staff would expect tips exceeding the 12% Hungarian mandatory service fee included in the final bill! Nevertheless, we are very happy that you had a refreshing experience here wih us, we hope that being this near to the river surface greatly added to... More

When requesting to remove an ingredient from a menu, the waiter replied. "This is a fine dining establishment, you cannot change anything". Most fine dining establishments have always catered to my requests! Having waited hours for my drink and food, nothing has come yet so cannot comment on the quality and taste, but my hopes are not set very high!... More
