The Spoon as a restaurant boat is located in the central spot of Budapest-Hungary. This 75m engine less fine dining event and restaurant place is able to provide it's services in 365 days. From top it has two hugh terraces and an additional one with glass sided walls, the winter garden. On the middle level we have two different designed restaurants, we call them the "Cafe" wich is more like a real fine dining hall and the "Lounge", that is a luxury relax eating area. As an additional service we provide a night club in the bottom level, with direct access from the Lounge. It's design is about the arabican fantasy, it's called the "The Oriental". On each level we have a full kitchen, that makes the Spoon able to serve every type of event and customer in different timing and every season of the year. Our goal is to give high quality service to the corporate events, private parties and of course as the location the Sponn is right on the most wanted spot of Budapest, we are a must see restaurant.

Great Location for Dinner

We had pre-booked a table for 4 by the window. It was a relatively mild May evening, but I would not have wanted to sit outside at this time of year. Visited Spoon with trepidations that this might be a tourist trap. Spoon offers a fantastic views of the riverside and castle. Pleasantly surprised by the the diversity of the menu and the friendly attentive service. The menu offered a good balance of meat and fish and local/regional specialties using fresh, local ingredients as well as some interesting continental combinations. Our... More

Lovely spot if you reserve a window side table but the food was a bit of a let down. My girlfriend ordered the one vegetarian option which was a risotto with saffron. I tasted it and it was not good at all. I had the duck which was tasty.

We have went there because it was close to our hotel. It is an expensive place with so-so food. White bread and fries - this is what our kids eat - were ok. We have also ordered fish soup and salad ... lets just say that the next place we have visited - Menza - was much better. You will... More

We went in mid May. Most good seats our outside. It was in th 50s and just too cold. We moved but the food was just ok. The views are fantastic since it's a boat restaurant. Bit I'd suggest drinks or lunch and save your dinner for another place

We had a (pre-booked) table by the window and watched Buda light up and the evening river traffic ply its trade up and down the busy Danube. It was a truly magical place to have dinner. The food was a little less consistent: the starters and puddings were good; duck with fig, for a main course, nearly worked (great meat)... More

Went there for a friend's birthday dinner a couple of weeks ago. We will not be back. Location is great, the view is beautiful but that is not exceptional in Budapest. There are so many other restaurants around with similar view and feel. What IS exceptional is the how bad the food was. I had to return my main dish... More

I'm not sure why this is listed here as a cafe and lounge, I'd say it's a fine dining restaurant. Located centrally on the Pest side of the river between the Chain Bridge and the Elizabeth Bridge, it's worth negotiating a very busy road to get to. Great views across the river up to Castle Hill. Outstanding food and service,... More

If you want to enjoy a romantic evening with great views then Spoon Cafe is a great place to start - however it is more expensive than many of the other restaurants that you will find in Budapest. Nonetheless the food is delicious so it is worth making an occasion of it.
