Recommended by our daughter who had visited Budapest for a musical festival. Not disappointed at all - excellent food and wine at very reasonable prices. Only in Budapest for five days but visited restaurant twice. Sat outsid ewhich, is close to the road but lovely view Danube and parliament buildings. Al a Carte provided good choices cooked to a high... More

We stayed at the Hotel Victoria nearby and found Carne di Hall the first night. The food and service were so good that we came back another night. Food is exquisite, beautifully prepared and truly local cuisine. We thought price was reasonable. There are outside tables upstairs streetside if you prefer but the cellar atmosphere is more tranquil. Recommended.

This chef seriously deserves some kind of medal to recognise food services to the public or something. It was honestly one of the best meals ive ever had. Get the chicken paprikash with styrian noodles. Yum. Staff were great as well. Very reasonably priced. Lovely riverside setting on the pest side. Perfect.

Although this restaurant is on the Danube waterfront on the Buda side, it is a few steps down, so has no view. (Those reviewers who have complimented the view must have sat at the outside tables.) Go, rather, for the food. Meals are available both a la carte and as fixed menus, and are delicious. What sets this restaurant apart... More

While strolling along the Danube and enjoying the warm evening and spectacular view of the Parliament building, we chanced upon this small restaurant. No tables were free outside with a direct view across the river, so a friendly waiter added another and promptly seated us. We were not prepared for a full meal or the rather high prices so we... The food was very good. We had the beef tartar which was excellent but a very large portion. My husband had the duck breast which was cooked to perfection & I had the red wine stew, succulent & tender. We had a Hungarian red wine which was also very good. Our waitress was very knowledgeable & attentive. Across from the... More

Ben (closest translation to English) was a great server, made us feel welcome and took time to talk and really connect with us. This restaurant was on the river, with a view of Parliament and the food was amazing. Definitely worth a try!

We stopped in for a late lunch at the suggestion of our hotel (Victoria). The view is great, across the street from the Danube and the parliament building on the Buda side. We ordered goulash and the beef tartare prepared two ways and shared them! The goulash was really good, very flavourful broth with meat and vegetables. The tartare may... More

Often one sees Certificates as being rather ubiquitously bestowed. However, in this instance accolades should be bestowed as the care in preparation and service of food is of high quality. From the menu, Kohlrabi and Tomato soups were subtly seasoned and mains of Mangalista wild boar and Veal were exceptionally delicious and different. The fruits and sorbets and "cottage cheese"... We enjoyed a delightful dinner at Carne di Hall on our last night in Budapest. Service was friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the red-wine beef stew -- just like something that I would make at home, and believe me, I am a good cook! Delicious, melt-in-your-mouth beef, slow-cooked at low temp for hours in a tasty sauce. Served with a... More
