River view, casual

Great food, moules soup, salmon main course, beer. Casual. Good value, indoor or sidewalk dining. More neighborhood feel Buda side. Roadside

It goes without saying the beer is amazing. But the food is worth a mention, too. 6 of us visited for dinner recently and we all had a fantastic meal. The waiter was a bit crazy (in certain places he'd be called rude) but the more we drank and less crazy he appeared. The location of the cafe is perfect,... More

This Belgian brasserie right on the river Danube is a must for Belgian beer lovers. Most of the famous brands are served here. I went for the Roquefort 10 with its blue cap and since it contains 11.3% ABV one may be enough, at least it is for me. Service was there when needed without being overattentive, which is how... This café was located next door to the hotel we were staying at. Great to call in and have drinks after a long day walking. There's seating outside for when the weather is good. There's an extensive list of European beers available at good prices. Food is good and staff are very friendly.

This restaurant was right next to the Hotel Victoria where we were staying. It had a large selection of Belgian beers. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We ate here twice during our stay.

Whist looked for a place to eat. After looking at the trip advisor we saw 4.5 star and decided to go. The place is very present, professional waiters. We ordered mussels and rib steak with princess potato and croquet. Was great. For desert it was mosses with ice cream. Too swat. We head better. Great beer selection. Recommend.

Amazing food and extensive selection of beer. Had the cheese platter for two as a starter and was pleased at the selection and quantity of fresh products your received. The mains came out in perfect time and we were not rushed. The beer list is amazing and would recommend a visit to everyone. Service was quick and attentive and the... More

Truly unbelievable selection of beer...menu was a book, entertaining descriptions of the beers was great table conversation. Food was delicious also, we had a party of four wholeheartedly endorse the cheese appetizers, duck with cranberry and burgers with fries. Pricing was fantastic, 4 ppl with food and cocktails was less than $50 USD--all while enjoying an incredible view of the... More

When you are there try to drink the new lager beer called Gallica, special brewed in Belgium. Or drink a nice Silly scotch

Right on river..and next to our hotel. With starter and beer and two mains for around $32 we are amazed at price value. This is Hungary so they condone dogs and smoking but we do not..oh well!!..

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighborhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
