Our hotel recommended this restaurant and we couldn't have been more pleased. It was quiet, elegant and our appetizers of goulash soup and grilled goat cheese as well as our entries of roasted goose and chicken with cream sauce were delicious. Add the trio playing Hungarian music and it was delightful

I went here for dinner by myself and the hostess was incredibly warm and accomodating. The goulash soup and the grilled polenta were delicious. It's definitely pricier than many options around there but I thought it was worth it. They also had a small band playing lovely music - it was not cheesy or obtrusive - very well done.

Comfortable , warm , friendly. Live violin music .Delicious food well served by attentive staff. Excellent choice of wine. We were made to feel very welcome , one of our favourite spits in Pest.

Pleasant atmosphere, beautifully decorated, unintrusive gipsy live music, excellent creative cuisine, inspired by Hungarian traditional cuisine. Goog balance between price and performance.

Six of us dined there in September 2014 prior to our river cruise. Three of us had the beef goulash, two had the catch of the day and I think one had the pork tenderloin. The food was great, and we also had some nice wine. We enjoyed the gypsy music while dining, and attempted to purchase a CD. My... More

Really nice food, excellent service. We ate the Hungarian Platter followed by Beef tenderloin which was excellent. Nice place to spend a lazy afternoon with a nice bottle of red wine.

We had a wonderful evening here. The service was friendly and helpful with excellent recommendations. There was traditional, live music in the background. The food was outstanding in its preparation and flavor. While quite traditional, this is the food of the area. You will not find this meal elsewhere. By far this was the best meal we had in Budapest.

Thought this would be just another simple local restaurant but were we wrong! Beautiful, elegant and excellent service. Food was absolutely outstanding with great presentations. You will not be disappointed. We had lamb rack, polenta and possibly the best goose liver I've ever had.

Found the waiter here too much of a personality, asserting his place instead of putting customer first. After I'd made choice of goose for main course and wine to match it turned out there was no goose. Then chose pork which was very good, but the bill was high for this one course and a very ordinary wine that could... More
