Craving good Italian food, I tried this restaursnt at the suggestion of my hotel concierge and based on Trip Advisor reviews. I was not dissapointed. Had a wonderful arugula salad and the clamari black risotto entree. Dessert and coffee were fantastic. In fact, this restaurant served the best cup of coffee I've had in all of Europe! Beautiful ambience and... More

We were a motley crew of 10 guests. We had a semi private area/cove that we were dining in. Outstanding wine selection. Fresh baked breads, including slim cheese sticks were outstanding. I ordered the sole, but was out ordered by a number of my colleagues. Everyone who had pasta was over the top about their dishes. The Italian creations were... More

Trattoria Pomo D Oro is a five star authentic Italian restaurant in Budapest. It is definitely filled with more tourists than locals but the food is still delicious. I started my meal off with the bruschetta. This contains parma ham slices with tomatoes and crumbs of parmesan cheese. For dinner, I tried several pasta dishes. All of the pasta is... More

I stayed in Budapest for a week and ended up coming back here very often. They got it perfect every time. Make reservations or you may not get a table.

If you are fond of Italian cuisine, you have to visit the Trattoria Pomo D'oro where you are spoilt by Gianni and his staff. Tommaso, the Italian pizza chef bakes the thin crust pizzas in a wood-burning oven, you can't get enough of it. :-) If you want to try to introduce some Italian meals to amaze your guests, a... More

Elegant atmosphere, excellent food, variety of meals, it's cozy and romantic but also a nice place for big companies. Service is professional. Disadvantage-high prices for an average tourist.

I have spent there a romantic dinner with my girlfriend. We ordered starter (ham from Parma, was great), first dish (classical pizza, with good taste and fresh ingredients) and desert (this was really first calss, you must try the tiramisu there!!!). The atmospher is superb, like in Italy;) We have taste some white wines too, but I found them too... More

Went here for dinner with some colleagues on a recent visit to Budapest. The restaurant was lively and the atmosphere very good. The menu is great, so many lovely sounding things to chose from. Everyone was really impressed with their meals - I had the Strozzapreti (priest choker) pasta - hand rolled pasta with tomato ragout, flambéed with parmesan cheese... More

Located in City Centre in Arany Janos St, close to Nador St. Very attentive service and beatuful interior. Opened from 12:00 - 24:00 every day; including Sundays. Affordable prices. Best pasta in town with great variety. I love their pasta with Foie Gras and Morel. The pasta with Duck Breast is another excellent choice. Whatever you choose, you will never... More
