5 x people had 3 courses each and all of them were excellent - whether souffle appretiser, pasta, steak, pannacotta, semifredo etc. in addition the wine choice is very good - if you like red, then try the Montenovo Cuvee - smooth and fruity Hungarian at a reasonable price and of course you must finish with Tokali to accompany the... Visited here with my mum for dinner and started off in the deli side not realising that the full restaurant was next door as the deli has a seating area and waiter service too. We asked for pasta and told they didn't serve it but weren't directed next door sadly so it was only by luck realised our mistake. The... More

Italian pasta, pizza, regional meals in a nice ambience in the center of Budapest. Good food, normal service. For Italian food one of the best options in town. Oh yes, try from their nice assortiment of Hungarian wines

No matter where we go in budapest we always come back to Pomo D'Oro. The food is fantastic, especially their pasta and when its truffle season its worth spending some extra here. Pomo D'Oro has a high quality throughout, whether you are ordering a classic and simple dish like bruchetta or you take the pasta with fois gras. Their wine... More

The restaurant is clearly overprized. We were 4 persons and we all had the opinion that the food is of average quality, nothing special, except one very creative dessert. Moreover, one of us got the pasta quite cold and as we gave it back to warm it up, the waiter brought it back so late that the others already finished... More

And I'm not the only one to say it, an Italian friend was there too. It tastes good, is well presented and I like the cosy atmosphere - in some parts it could feel like a home. My vegetarian daughter found everything she wanted for a great meal as well. It is not far from Liberty square or the Basilica.

Good italian, a little bit overplaying complexity card instead of focusing on simpler and well executed dishes - in other words, go for pasta, beef or tuna (delicious !) tagliata or grilled seabass rather than any too elaborated dish. Service is slow and not very professional and the mix between shop, bar, restaurant and pizzeria a bit ackward.

An Italian collague made the recommendation and we were most grateful. We had no reservation but the seater was so helpful and whisked us over the road to their wine bar while we waited for a table - great vibe, lovely snacks and great wine. The manager sat with us and chatted until our table was ready, then came over... More
