Menza was advertised as one of the places you have to go to for good hungarian food in Budapest. The food was ok, the garlic soup not so much, the langosch was reheated in a microwave, but the burger was awesome and the beer very tasty and not too expensive. All in all eat a burger there and drink a... More

This is a restaurant, which serves traditional Hungarian food. The food was served in good portions and was tasty. Good choice of menu.

A pleasant, leafy outlook attracted us to Menza for breakfast. Service was prompt and ok except for 1 moment (see below). The food was terrible...fruit salad was very small & consisted of green grapes on top that looked brownish on edges. I asked for a "fresh fruit salad" - waiter returned with another that looked no better; he put it... More

This restaurant offers a wide menu with a heavy emphasis on Hungarian cooking updated to current trends. The service is excellent. Reserve a table on the terrace. The location is near the Oktagon right off Andrassy. Very easy to find. I have eaten there at least five times in the past two years. I have gone for lunch, dinner and... More

the food was not badd, nothing creative but ok, however the speed at which the plates and glasses were taken away was rude. My partner was still eating but my plate was taken away because I had finished. I learned to hold on to my wine glass for dear live until it was empty.

Menza (1061 Liszt Ferenc ter 2, Budapest) is located in a very nice park like setting, surrounded by several other restaurants. It is open for lunch and dinner. We ate dinner there in late April 2013. The restaurant has outdoor dinning as well as a large indoor presence. It started raining while we were there but more than adequate awnings... More

We waited 35 minutes for an outside table and it was worth it. Started with some awesome soup and went on to Hungarian Beef Stew and a great chicken salad. Finshed the meal with some Hungarian chocolate spounge cake. Was a great first night meal and worth the wait. The staff was attentive but not pushy. Also, very authentic, lots... More

OK, I shouldn't have ordered it, but their burger is fabulous -- and the waiter only rolled her eyes a little when I placed the order. The goulash was disappointing (cold and a small portion), but all the other dishes were quite good. Be sure to request a table on the patio if the weather permits.

Went to Budapest in July of 2009 (very long ago I know) with another couple. We were looking for a place that was good food but cheap. Being in Budapest from the US pretty much everything was cheap but this was also delicious food. We liked it so much that we came here 2 out of our 3 dinners in... More

Not knowing what to expect as we were taken by friends who live in Budapest we really enjoyed our experience at Menza. The food was well cooked and presented & the waiters knowledgable about wines and what would compliment the food. We sat outside and the blanket over the back of the chair was a nice touch but needed by... More
