There are a lot more interesting and tasty places in Budapest. They claim to be Michelin mentioned, may because of cabbage leaves stuffed with goose liver )))

We booked for dinner after passing by and seeing the lovey dining room with immaculate tablets and carver chairs. Our reservation was accepted for dinner. But on arrival the sophisticated dining room was closed for a private party and we were shown to the lobby to eat. Fine French cuisine in full view if the front door, winds every time... More

Located in Le Meridien Hotel, with windows looking out onto the adjacent pedestrian shopping street, this very pleasant and elegant dining room has some very good, beautifully presented food.

Actually, we stayed at La Meridian where this gourmet restaurant is located. Food is excellent as well as the service - a bit pricey! Window seating is delightful!

Thoroughly recommend this restaurant. It is pricey but you pay for what you get. The breakfast served here is delicious - a great choice of fresh and constantly replenished food. Well worth a visit. We didn't join the Hungarian Night but we did hear and see it and we now wish we did. Take the opportunity if you can!

A big number of mid to high class restaurants offer discounted three course menus twice a year for a week for a very limited audience. This time we visited Le Bourbon expecting a fine dining experience given that it's the restaurant of Budapest's Meridien Hotel. Unfortunately what they served was less tasty than the offer of a country-side motel. It... More

Sept 28 When I booked this restaurant I thought it offered one of the finest views of the city of Budapest. I was totally wrong as it is in the lobby of a fancy hotel, Le Meridien. Though I had reservations through emails with the manager, Norbert Bocsak, the host could not find my booking. Nevertheless, at noon when the... More

Le Bourbon is within the Le Meridien hotel on Erzsébet square. The menu was impressive, but we went for the Hungarian tasting experience and the Gastronomic tasting experience which were seven courses including amouse bouche and there's a different wine for each course, which is explained well and enthusiastically by the waiter. The atmosphere is very pleasant and there was... More

Nice meal and fun Hungarian show. Easy way to begin our time in Budapest. All inclusive and generous with good wine!
