Memorable Last Evening !

Athough we dined here on New Years Day evening, I had made the table reservation in October 2015 as I had heard that it was advisable to pre-book, particularly over a holiday period. Fausto's had rung me earlier on the day to confirm our reservation & also to say that the restaurant was closed but... read more

Everything is very well presented here. The welcome is warm the food is fresh and tasty. For me it lacked on choice with the a la carte but I was delighted with the option from the specials. It is a little pricey if you choose some of the italian wines, so be warned you will pay over the odds to... More

For someone from England Budapest represents great value. However after a long day sightseeing sometimes a little luxury is what you crave. If so head here. The ambience, service, food and wine are all superb. We enjoyed 3 very relaxed hours here - no restraint and the bill only came to £80 (it could have been a lot less!). Heartily... More

Lovely restaurant with very accommodating staff. The chef made our pasta to order, off the regular menu. Poured our Montepulciano red wine from the full bottle menu by the glass. Not to miss - the tiramisu. One of the best I have ever had.

We had lunch here this weekend and it's delicious. Maybe a little bit expensive but the taste and service makes that you forget about the price. Every single part of Fausto's offer is spectacular! Highly recommend!

Came without a reservation and no expectations as had not heard anything about the place. Was seated at only available table and made to feel very welcome. The fish soup was amazing and they had a special of a lamb dish which was excellent. My wife had a pasta dish which she said was very good. The service was outstanding,... More

Excellent venue for a business lunch. Quiet table conducive to talking. Tasty white bean soup and excellent flounder. Could have brought the bill quicker but generally excellent.

We were in the Osteria cause the main restaurant was closed for refurbishment. We had the five course menu again with wine pairing. My wife had to stop drink cause of recent illness and her stomach was not ready for alcohol yet, this was no problem for the waiters. The service, food and waiters were excellent and were fluent in... More

Fausto's Osteria, the more casual sister restaurant of upscale and pricy “Fausto’s”, with which it shares a common entrance, is one of the places I always take business partners and visitors. I know I can rely on the Osteria that the food is always of top quality and that all my guests find something to their taste. The reception is... More

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
