Description: The restaurant of Attila Molnár and Szása Nyíri is waiting for their guests for more than 20 years already.Arany Kaviár is considered one of the best fine dining restaurants. They improve Russian cuisine. They prepare traditional dishes with contemporary methods, the way we like them. For five years the restaurant is recommended by the Michelin guide.Accordingly, one of the cornerstones of the menu is the “Traditional Russian cuisine”, the true and worthy representatives of the classic cuisine of the court of the Czars. The dishes are based on traditional Russian recipes, preserving their authentic feel, but are prepared with modern techniques and ingredients. The dishes are not reinvented, but improved. The other pillar of the menu is the wide selection of marine and freshwater “Fish dishes”, and their diverse compilations. The premium quality and year-round availability of domestic fishes are guaranteed by our close cooperation with fisheries; and our carefully selected seafood is supplied by the fish market of Strasbourg. The third and most important pillar of the menu is the “Caviar Gourmet Menu”, and the Caviar Card, listing the caviars produced and distributed by the restaurant and the dishes prepared with them, thus demonstrating the versatility of the culinary utilization of caviar. The Arany Kaviár Gourmet Selection has represented and conveyed the philosophy and values of the restaurant within and outside its walls. The “Hungarian caviar” successfully debuted on the international market in 2011. On the largest and most prestigious hospitality exhibition, the SIRHA in Lyon, world-renowned chefs sampled Arany Kaviár’s product.

This restaurant is a small restaurant found in Buda near the Buda Castle. The restaurant is fine dining, with impeccable service. From the second you walk in you are taken care of. There is a sommelier on hand to recommend with the wine and spirit choice, with an extensive list of wines and since it is a Russian Restaurant there... More

Came here with my mother and sister before moving back to London. I couldn't imagine a better evening, culinary experience or atmosphere in Hungary. I had the fish tasting menu, which even though costs quite a lot compared to Hungarian standards, was arguably the best tasting experience I've ever had in my life, especially when comparing the price to other... The food at this place really is special, with flavour combinations that are in perfect harmony. You have the urge to make a photo of each... More

Nonchalantly tucked into a leafy side street, from the moment you arrive at Arany Kaviar you get the sense you have a special experience in store. The decor and ambiance of the restaurant only confirms this impression, with crisp white table cloths, stylish red water glasses and luxuriously upholstered seating. There are even miniature stools on which to rest your... More

We went here for our last night in Budapest. It was wonderful. Great food, beautifully presented with friendly staff. Quite formal, so not as casual as the run of the mill restaurants we have tried elsewhere in the city, but it suits the quality. You would pay a lot more for this quality in the UK.

This restaurant was well worth the visit. We sat in the area out the back which was presented very nicely, We chose the set menu including wines, all dishes were presented beautifully and tasted delicious (about 8 courses), the service was excellent very unobtrusive , was well worth the A$500

This is a lovely and elegant restaurant, based on seafood with a special caviar menu. If one does not opt for extra caviar it is a fairly modestly priced dining experience considering the elegance of the surroundings, the variety of courses and level of service. The food is delicious without being inventive or avant guard. I would recommend this restaurant... More

We had lunch in the garden of Arany kaviár in late June 2014. The five course Kaviiar Menu was delicous. There was a nice twist of black/red (salmon) kaviar in each portion. The Chardonnay from Egri was one of the best we had during our visit to Budapest. The price was a nice surprise: 43000 HUF (140 €) for 2... More
