We ate here on our first night in Budapest and we weren't disappointed. The service was delighted and we were made to feel welcome. The dishes were explained to us, great wine was recommended and we learned a few words in Hungarian. The food was delicious, more home style than fussy restaurant style and was a superb introduction to hungarian... More

Me and my husband ate here on our first night in Budapest and it didn't disappoint! We wanted to try out the traditional food and picked this restaurant as it had very good reviews! The service and food was very very good and what made it even better was the man in the corner playing music me and my husband... More

My husband and I booked a table here for our anniversary and it was a great choice - the food is incredibly tasty, service really friendly and professional and prices more than reasonable. You also get to sample three kinds of hot peppers varying in hotness, from mild to fiery, which was right up my street:-) Goulash soup is great... More

Read the reviews and went. Booked in advance -three weeks. And glad I did. 8.30pm on a Sunday night and they were turning people away. Why? A number of reasons is the answer. This is a restaurant that knows its market and knows its food. They offer excellent Hungarian fayre which is served by the charming Susan and her team.... More

This was one of the best restaurants that we tried during our Winter Holiday in Budapest. Please note that reservations are required. Firstly, the restaurant is so cute and quaint. There are only about 12-15 tables, so it is a very intimate setting. A plate of chilies and paprika paste along with bread was delivered by our waitress to begin... More

We had beef tenderloin with onion and ginocchi (some kind of a pasta with tomatoe and garlic sauce). I can not say they were special tastes but ok to try. The personnel instead was very kind and overwhelming..

We arrived early afternoon to pre-book and found to our delight that we could have a table at 6pm that evening. The staff were very friendly and helpful, describing the food and its provenance to help us choose from the menu and the daily specials. The food was excellent, we were also offered complimentary home-made pear palinka at the end... More

It's always good when a restaurant lives up to its rating and this one did. We arrived at 6.15pm on a Friday evening. Although well booked the maitre d' had a table until 7.30pm which suited us. The waitress was excellent. We took a while choosing but had a good mix of Hungarian traditional dishes. Appetisers of local bread topped... More

We booked a table 2 days in advance, before that it was fully booked because it was weekend . The food was simple but tasty, the waitress really friendly and we liked the booklet with the recipe of how to make a Goulasch Soup, recommended places to visit, and a small English- Hungarian dictionary. The live music played by an... More
