Perhaps primarily a family breakfast place, it is nonetheless outstanding for its luncheon special.... Everything tastes home made, everything is done right... Contemporary Hungarian at its best.

Had been walking for an hour, came across this little place. Hadn't seen the previous reviews, we just had coffee. Lovely atmosphere, some good Blues music being played. Quick, attentive service, very reasonably priced.

We were going to go to Bambi down the street for brunch, but they were hopelessly crowded. This place is better. Good food, salmon bagels (not easy to find in BP), fresh OJ, nice atmosphere and live guitar music. (This might sound annoying before coffee, but the music is very mellow.)

Small place with small tables, very familier. Owners are very friendlies. The food: we tested the sandwiches. No comment... everything are very fresh, and good... perfect.... :-)

Nice and friendly atmosphere. Ideal for breakfast or a short stop during the day. I would be happy if Budapest had more places like this.

Researched places for breakfast close to Novotel Danube prior to arrival and this cafe was one that came to my attention. Had breakfast there 3 days running. It has a nice atmosphere with quirky, simple, retro decor and seating. Service was friendly and helpful (English spoken by at least one member of staff on each of our visits). We tried... More

Visited because of good reviews on tripadvisor We were staying at the Sofitel so a long walk and well worth it. Home made yogurt superb, wonderful fresh orange juice and terrific omelettes and scrambled eggs. Great value. Order espresso with a little extra water if you like your coffee strong. Would definitely go again

A tiny crowded breakfast place with cheap 'retro' design and uncomfortable furniture. Quite chaotic. The meal and the prices are OK. The staff is kind but slow for they are serving at the tables and for takeaway at the same time. Also good for vegetarians.

We picked Szendzo because of the reviews on TripAdvisor . Although at the time there weren't many, each one made it sound like a place we would like to try. We were not disappointed. We had a wonderful breakfast to start our day. We had the fresh orange juice and I had the Omelet with Hungarian mangalica sausage, ham and... More

We accidentally found this gem while waiting to cross to Pest. There I had the best fresh orange juice ever! The food was awesome, staff was friendly the place was cool and the best of all: FAIR non touristic prices! We had breakfast there 2 times during our stay in Budapest. Run away from the expensive hotel breakfasts and go... More
