Foods are ok but prices are high. Menu is quite extensive. Foods are quite good but be careful on prices. We paid app. 80 € for two person without vine.

Thank you for your comments, which are a bit misunderstood. The most expensive meal chosen from the menu (roast lamb and goose liver), as soon as prices are shown. Drank no wine, but instead of other beverages, yes. The amount of the invoice included the appetizer, two main dishes, dessert and drinks in the price as well. Kind regards, More

What a great restaurant. We arrived early evening whilst the restaurant was quiet and had the undivided attention of the owner / chef and his family. We had a taster starter of mixed traditional Hungarian platter with three different 'creams'. Delicious. This was followed by Chicken Paprika then Floating Islands to finish. The food and wine were excellent. The service... More

My boyfriend and I had visited a few lovely restaurants during our stay and wanted something equally as nice for our last night in Budapest. We seen the reviews on here and weren't disappointed. The chef/owner/waiter was lovely and couldn't do enough to help. Good was gorgeous and the Hungarian wine was delicious and cheap!! The restaurant has a lovely... More

We ate here on a Tuesday night after trying on Monday (to find it was closed-warning, as we didn't realise). We had a shared Hungarian starter which was very tasty! Then we had paprika chicken and the leg of duck. Couldn't have fit a desert in unfortunately due to the large portion sizes. Very tasty Hungarian food, would definitely recommend... More

Don't be fooled by its name - this is a great authentic Hungarian experience! The food was very good, the wine selection was true Hungarian, the band - absolutely terrific! What can I say? Don't miss it! The entertainment - both musically and by the staff made the evening! So friendly and proud of their heritage and so willing to... More

We've visited this restaurant based on the reviews on TripAdvisor. I'm glad we did, since you hardly notice it when it's closed. You can see it from the touristic Váci utca, but you wouldn't know it's quality, which is absolutely terrific. The restaurant is owned by a Hungarian family. Dad in the kitchen and his son as a waiter, or... More

On our last evening ( of 5) in Budapest we decided to go somewhere near our hotel and picked this after reading reviews and we were very pleased. We arrived at about 7.40 and it was very quiet apart from the excellent house quartet playing gypsy tunes, Strauss and other classics with some avant-guard renditions of the Beatles and Michael...
