Most amazing meal we had in Budapest!

This was a gem of a place. Visited it the first time based on reviews on Trip Advisor and the food was so good- we came back a second time! The restaurant is set a block back from the vaci utca (which is full of tourist restaurants) but is easy to find. The restaurant is a true family run... read more

Just a block from the main tourist walking mall on Vaci and a wonderful experience. Two couples were looking for supper at about 9:30 in the evening and decided to try the Chef Café. The restaurant has only 6 or 7 tables that are waited on by a friendly super capable father-son team. The ambience was wonderful. Their knowledge of... More

When arriving you are greeting warmly. The service is super friendly and helpful as my boyfriend is a celiac they were very accommodating he could have mostly everything as they said they would change certain ingredients in the dish for example noodles replaced with potatoes. For a set 3 course meal its roughly around 6000 - 7000 HUF which we... More

Cosy little restaurant around the corner from the Bohem Art Hotel with a tight menu and good food. Genuinely family run - the mother is in the kitchen with some help, and the son and father are front of the house. Warm and efficient service, pleasant ambiance. Well worth a visit.

We were very impressed with this restaurant. When you walked in the door you could tell that this was not your average tourist trap. The service was excellent. You could tell it was a family ran business. Son was the waiter and mom & dad were in the kitchen. The food was delicious. Our party had a variety of selections... More

The food was not bad but did not meet our expectations given the reviews. Service was very good and the location was very convenient to our hotel. Price wise it was bit over priced.

It might have just been what I ordered but the duck leg was really overcooked and dry. Everything else was excellent particularly the Hungarian cold starter plate. The waiter was very attentive and the chef even came out to say hi at the end of the meal!

Good atmosphere, good selection of wines, excellent food both Hungarian and international, and the service is the friendliest in town. You just don't want to leave. All for reasonable prices.
