Great spot for wine and small plates!

Got an education on Hungarian wines while munching on some tasty small plates. Staff was very helpful on selecting and trying Hungarian wines. I was so impressed I bought some to take home! Really good service. Allowed to try as many wines as you want until you find the one! Great selection. Definitely 'a must' for all wine lovers! Also have some very cool djs.

Large variety of wine, and staff willing to explain the options. Good food and a nice ambiance. The seating was slightly awkward for two people only, but clearly nicer for large groups.

Not being a wine drinker, I was apprehensive when a friend brought me here. I needn't have worried- I asked for a white wine, not too sweet, not too dry and I was brought something immediately and it was delicious. The location was beautiful too- right by the cathedral and for someone used to London prices, it was incredibly reasonably... More

Bless him, 11pm on Friday the 7th Jan, the poor chap was all over the place and eventually he remembered that he hadn't actually given me a bottle of wine. They have an awesome selection of wine all Hungarian of course. Great atmos late on. Prepare for a hangover.

Decimal was misplaced in the price of a bottle of wine. They demanded multiple their original asking price. Beware. Avoid.

We asked for the recommendation of the waiter and got two glasses of white wine for the price of a bottle of another type; however got to keep the glasses as souvenirs after nicely asking. Thanks, we enjoyed our evening.

I had an exceptional evening visit at DiVino. Me and my small group of friends enjoyed a wide range of Hungarian wines that was recommended by Mr. Peter Doczi. We knew little about Hungarian wine but Peter put together a fantastic mix of varied wines throughout the region. He was very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable regarding the local beverages. The... More

I have visited several times and find it to be one of my favourite locations in Budapest to chill. There is a nice selection of wine and the advice you get can be helpful. Lille gave me excellent advice. However, during busy periods it is hard to get specific attention. It would help if some of the wines could be... More

I read a recommendation that this is a “must try”, and since my husband and I are huge fans of Hungarian wines, I thought this would be the perfect place for us to visit. I was expecting a sommelier, but instead we had a bartender with mediocre knowledge of wines that sniffed the cork immediately after opening the bottle. He... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
