We visited the Hunyadi last week during our stay in Budapest. The food was delicious and the service was really good. The lady who served us was really helpful and pleasant. Wish we had more time and would have eaten there again. It was a Tuesday evening when we ate there so was a little quiet, however it didn't spoil our... More

We decided to have dinner and Hunyadi based on the good reviews on Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious. The only problem was that the door to the restaurant was open all night so that it got quite noisy in the restaurant when a car passed by.

Me and my husband ate at Hunyadi Restaurant in September 2014 when we visited Budapest. It is a tiny and charming restaurant well hidden on Hunyadi Janos street in the Buda Diatrict and a few hundred meters from Fishermans Bastion. It was a few meters from our accommodation as well. We went there on a Friday evening without reservations. The... More

Of all the places we ate in Budapest, this was the best! Great service and awesome food, also it was really refreshing to have english speaking staff. The staff were really nice and knew how to make the customer feel at ease. For starters, the goulash soup was a delicious peek into Hungarian cuisine. Most other places, this was usually... More

This tiny restaurant is hidden on the Buda side, not far from the chain bridge. The hotel recommended it and what a terrific meal! Small, intimate restaurant with about 10 tables. The proprietor managed the room by himself and service was prompt and he was very attentive. I had the veal cheeks with paprikash sauce and homemade chive dumplings. Meat... More

What a find! Tucked away, but near the centre on the Buda side, a small intimate restaurant. Food excellent, portions, generous, quality and presentation good. The waitress serving us, guess she was the proprietress, was speaking good English, but more importantly was really charming, naturally charming, not pretending only. Deserves success!

The food was phenomenal and excellent value for money (far cheaper than you would pay in the UK. The waiter was very friendly.

Visited here on a quiet midweek night in August,a little hard to find from our hotel in the castle district but that was more about the directions from the hotel concierge! This restaurant sits on a busy main road and can be a little noisy but makes up for that with the food and service. We were the only diners... More

We recently dined at this restaurant during our stay in Budapest. Located in "Buda", near Fisherman's Bastion. A quiet, sensibly priced restaurant with terrific food and a warm atmosphere. Highly recommend - this is not one of the many "tourist traps" common in this area.

Myself and my Fiance dined here on a Sunday, we had 3 courses, all three were amazing. We took a while deciding which food to have as all the choices looked great. The pork medallions in the white wine sauce was superb. The restaurant staff were very friendly, the food was generous portions and at a good price. I would recommend... More
