Soooo Italian!!

Visited here recently after a disappointing meal the previous evening in a 'bistro' where the focus was most definitely on the beer, not the food (Spiler Shanghai, not reviewed, best avoided if you're hungry rather than thirsty!). We have tried many Italian restaurants in Budapest and this small one could still surprise us. The setting is cosy and not formal, it radiates a young and non conformist style and the service is very personal. Food is very good, above average but not necessarily the best in town. And price is affordable: we had 2 starters, 2 main... More

It's as authentic Italian cafe/restaurant as you can find in Bp. You can hardly notice it, but it is perfect for a quick pasta.

I think this would be a very good average caffé in Rome, but in Budapest it is probably the most authentic Italian restaurant, so if you want to have good italian food, this is your place of choice. The place is small, crowded even, so make a reservation. Kind service, excellent coffee. The menu is nothing fancy, normal italian dishes... More

Affordable, good quality pizza, pasta and salads. Friendly staff. Home made deserts. Warm and informal café atmosphere. Great espresso. Menu translated into English. Daily menu of dishes. Do try the crème caramel!

We enter by chance because it was raining and we were tired but it was for the best! Price is normal, not expensive, pizzas thin dough and good fresh pasta with good ingredients. The Italian owner is the best! Always smiling and caring about costumers :) And best tiramisu I had so far, tasty and creamy so go for it!

I just had a pizza and tasted a steak. Both were perfect! If anyone wants to taste a piece of Italy, this is the place.

Now, I am very fussy when it comes to Italian food. I first tasted it in Rome, before it spread all over the world, and have not taken compromises since. In fact, I always say that my stomach was born in Italy, despite my nationality. Hungary is one of the more difficult places to find real non-Hungarian food as people's... More

Came here by myself for breakfast whilst the rest of my party were still sleeping off the night before. Had a great cafe laté, freshly squeezed orange juice and bacon and eggs. All the staff I encountered were friendly and the price was very good. If you're in the area pay it a visit.
